Academic Activities

2024 Junior History E-Reading Scheme

Our junior students excelled in the 2024 Junior History E-Reading Scheme organized by the EDB, with two teams winning Academic Award and another team receiving the STEAM Award. Our students share their model with Dr. Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education, during the Prize Presentation Ceremony.

12 S3 students from the History Department organized an activity during lunchtime related to the history of Hong Kong and the development of ancient sports. Students participated in three booth games, including comparing historical changes in Hong Kong over time, exploring the societal functions of ancient sports, and experiencing ancient Chinese cuju.

The History Field Trip aimed to bring students to understanding the history of the Japanese Invasion of Hong Kong in 1941. Through visiting an old WWII military redoubt, students realised how Hong Kong defended itself from the Japanese invasion and reflected on the detrimental effects of war on our society.
