At this level, the Elite Program Co-ordination Committee makes the most of external enrichment and extension learning opportunities for exceptionally gifted students, and nominates these students for gifted programmes provided by the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, tertiary institutes and other educational organizations.


The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE)

Gifted students are nominated to the HKAGE each year. Students talented in humanities, leadership, mathematics or science have been assessed and admitted by the HKAGE as student members. They are eligible to join a variety of gifted courses offered by the academy, like Chemical Analysis of Chinese Medicine, and Glimpses of the Ocean.


The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Dual Program 

Twelve students have been admitted to the dual program in 2017-2018.  This program is aimed at providing an alternative pathway for students who are gifted in the areas of life science, chemistry, physics and mathematics.  There are four levels, pre-level, level 1, level 2 and level 3 and students are expected to complete one level each year.  Junior form students are to start with either pre-level or level 1, while senior form students can only start with level 1.  Level 2 and 3 are challenging credit bearing courses at university level.


Education Bureau Web-based Learning Courses

In 2017-2018, nine students of S1 and S2 joined the web-based learning courses organized by the Education Bureau’s Gifted Education Section.  The objective of the courses is to provide learning experience for gifted students in order to hone their higher order thinking skills.  There are five courses, namely Earth Science, Palaeontology, Mathematics, Astronomy and The Changing Hong Kong Economy, and three levels in each course.  Students having enrolled on a course are expected to complete all levels in one year.
