Special events and activities
1. Carmel Christian Conference
Every year, we have Carmel Christian Conference in September. We aim to call all Carmel Christians together and encourage one another to be witnesses of Jesus in the campus.
2. Gospel Week
The Gospel Week is conducted in the first term. Through the sharing of messages in morning assemblies, short assemblies and long assemblies, students have the chance to know more about the greatness and salvation of Jesus.
3. Christmas Service
Christian Service is conducted in the last school day before Christmas Holiday. Through hymn, sharing and congregation, students are led to know the true meaning of Christmas.
4. Christmas Caroling
It is good to give blessings and gifts to our neighbours during Christmas. Gift sets consisting of daily necessity and students’ testimony are distributed to the people near the school district by our student ambassadors. We also sing Christmas carols at the school entrance so that neighbours may feel the love of God.
5. S1 Growth Camp
All S1 students have to join the Growth Camp. Through message sharing, team building activities, bible study, personal sharing with teachers and so on, students know more about themselves and Christ.
6. School Prayer Day
Carmel is a school which was founded and is sustained by unceasing prayers. It is often held in February, the beginning of each year, to let all Carmelians pray for the school regarding gospel work, teaching and learning, extra-curricular activities, our students and teachers as well as our city.
7. Easter Assembly
Easter Assembly is held on the last day before Easter Holiday. Teachers and students will have the chance to reflect on Jesus’ death and resurrection and make resolutions to lead a meaningful life for Him.
8. Edifying Camp
Christian students from Forms 2 to 5 are invited to join the Edifying Camp. This special event offers an opportunity to deepen their faith through message sharing, Bible study, and personal conversations with teachers. The camp aims to inspire students to lead a life devoted to God.
9. Week of Religion
Week of Religion is held in the third term. Through the sharing of messages in different assemblies, students are encouraged to know more about God in different aspects. We aim to relate our faith to the school’s major concern so that students can practise what they believe in daily lives.
