The happiest moment in my primary school life (1C Chan Tsz Kiu, Natalie)

Today, I received a USB drive storing photos taken at the graduation ceremony and the graduation dinner of Kei Wa. I played it on my computer, and it reminded me of my memories about the day.

30th June, 2023 was the day of my graduation ceremony and graduation dinner. That day, I woke up early to prepare all the things. I ironed my uniform, wrapped the gifts that I wanted to give to 6A students and practised the performance for the graduation dinner. After preparing, I wore my uniform, combed my hair, packed my belongings and finally went to Kei Wa.

When I arrived at Kei Wa, most students had already arrived there. We talked for a awhile and then the Vice-Principal, Mr. Cheung, took all of us to 1A to 1D classrooms and asked us to wear the graduation gown. After that, we went to the Hall and had the final rehearsal for the graduation ceremony.

After an hour’s final rehearsal, Principal Cheng took the guests and parents to the Hall. After all the guests sat properly, the graduation ceremony started. We sang the school song and hymns. The Principal and the chancellor went on the stage and said something to encourage us. We went on the stage and got our graduation certificates. Elise and Clovis represented us and delivered the graduation speech. Every class representative went on the stage and shared memories of their classes, and gave little gifts to all the teachers. These actions seemed to take so much time, but I thought that there were only 14 days left to spend with these guys. I suddenly found that three hours can be so quick, and I finally understood why people say happy times pass quickly. After the graduation ceremony, we took photos with others and walked around Kei Wa. We then felt that six years passed so fast. After a while, we left Kei Wa and got on the tour bus to go to Crystal Harbour Restaurant to have our graduation dinner. During the ride, we wrote a big card to Hillary, one of my classmates, secretly to wish her a good life in England.

When everyone arrived at Crystal Harbour Restaurant, the graduation dinner started. At the beginning, some students’ parents got on the stage and shared their gratitude to the teachers. After that, we sang hymns to thank God for the meal before eating. When others were halfway through eating, our class was ready to perform the song “We Will Love (We Can Make a Difference)”. We then thanked our teachers who have taught us before. After we finished our speech, Miss Kwok, got on the stage too and thanked us. While she was speaking, I could feel she wanted to cry but she held the tears. This made me feel like crying too. After that, we took a photo together with all 6A students and teachers.

Until now, I still vividly remember all the details of that perfect day. I think I will remember the day forever. We will definitely keep in touch.
