There is one more chapter to go. That evening, Sparky walked deep into the forest. He walked past a stone and a phrase was written on it. It showed, “To one who wishes may get it. May one move me.” Sparky thought, “What a great chance.” Without thinking twice, Sparky moved it./ He then felt something weird happening to his body… He didn’t get his light though, so he thought it was weird. Isn’t getting his light what he hoped for?

Sparky didn’t return to his home for a few days so his brother Bubba tried to find him. As Bubba felt a bit hopeless, he suddenly thought of a place he and Sparky would go to whenever they’re feeling down. Bubba set off into the forest and walked a long way to a beautiful lake. Sparky was actually there. Bubba was so relieved and flew towards Sparky. Sparky was crying all by himself and when he saw his brother, his eyes lit up. “Brother!” said Sparky. “You shouldn’t run away. Why are you here crying alone?” asked Bubba. Sparky replied in a sad tone, “The other fireflies always leave me out and won’t let me play with them…” When Bubba heard that, his face went from concerne to furious because he couldn’t believe that the others would do that to him.

Bubba dragged Sparky back to their home and told him to try to fit in. Bubba told him that he’d be by his side just in case anything happened. Sparky went to find the other fireflies and used all his courage to talk to them. The fireflies not only didn’t tell him to leave, but they told him to join them. Was it the stone’s magic or the fireflies’ change of mind? Well, it’s the stone and Sparky’s courage to speak to them again. The stone read Sparky’s mental thoughts that Sparky wanted to fit in, but not get his light. The other fireflies actually thought that he was a normal firefly without a light, and with an easy-going personality. They’ve also said sorry to him about what happened in the past.

This story teaches us that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. We shouldn’t judge people by their looks. Just because Sparky doesn’t have his light , it doesn;t make him any less of a firefly. This also resembles reality. People judge how people are based on their looks, clothing style, body shape, and even facial features. Can you imagine if someone did that to you? Those people who get judged are mostly afraid to speak up so we should also stop these situations when we see them. To be honest, It’s just the same as bullying.
