The Worst decision I have made in my life

As a wealthy and powerful person, I used to be the leader among every group of people.
But now, since I was enjoying my holiday on a deluxe and enormous ship, I could be released from the surges of heavy workloads.
Unexpectedly, the sky roared. A tremendous wave was going to engulf the ship! No sooner had the surge plunged the fragile ship than I lost my consciousness.
“Where am I and who are you guys?” I exclaimed with disbelief that I could withstand such a devastating hazard and survive.
“Luckily, we are swept ashore, but we have to be stranded on this isolated island until there is someone to rescue us.” Amid those frustrated faces, there was only one person who seemed to be unaffected by this excruciating situation.
“Ladies and gentleman, although we are now in an awkward condition, there’s no time to spend on cursing our fate. We have to co-operate and strive for our tomorrow,” he spoke aloud in a calm and assuring voice.
“Okay. So, do you know what we should do now?” someone raised this question desperately.
“Thank you for your support. Let’s live together as close as a family!” he tried to cheer everyone up, once again, sentimentally.
Despite being impressed by his enthusiasm and charismatic manner, I couldn’t help feeling suspicious about this so-called leader, Pandox, due to his proactive leading, which meanwhile overshadowed my superiority in leadership.
“However, I disagree with you. We should snatch the time to find any ways to leave instead of giving up,” I spoke critically.
“It’s wonderful that you’re so persevering. But, I observe that you’re a rich man. Please don’t command us as your workers. Besides, may I know your name?” he smiled to say so notwithstanding, I was indeed satirized.
We had already been living together for countless days and nights. Under the leadership of Pandox, we could be relieved from depression to embrace the everyday life once again. I started reconsidering him and dismissed my prejudice against him. Not only did I change my mind, many others also believed in Pandox with full confidence.
Two days later, our hope finally came! There was a ship coming from the very far end of the sea. A lot of us was completely overwhelmed with joy and burst into excitement, except Pandox, who looked strange rather than exalted. His abnormal reaction aroused my suspicion. Nonetheless, happiness had already conquered my mind and left no room for me to suspect someone whom I might not meet in future. Meanwhile, a nasty plot was stretching its arms out with an aggressive ambition.
“Aren’t you happy, Pandox?” I patted him and asked.
“Sure. But I’m missing you guys already,” he sounded relaxed, but with a strange tone.
“Why not let me prepare you guys some refreshments before we leave?” Pandox announced cheeringly as usual and left swiftly.
A few minutes later, Pandox returned and brought with him some good-taste-like drinks. It was true that before we left, we should have some refreshments together in a mini-farewell party. Yummy! The juice tasted fantastic!
“Why am I feeling d…dizzy?” a woman fell into a mysterious coma after uttering the last word.
“Please never do you guys blame me for doing so. I can’t figure out why you can be so happy after knowing the coming of the ship. Rationally, I don’t expect the ship can accommodate such a large group of victims. I actually help them choose a smart guy to survive,” Pandox proclaimed his victory complacently. He desired to leave, no expense spared, even though he had to sacrifice us as his stepping stone.
Although I had died, I still died to know Pandox’s end. Ironically, the ship far away was indeed a pirate ship. With himself alone, he could do nothing but surrender. Degeneration into a slave of pirates notwithstanding, he used to think of avenues to counterattacks. I couldn’t help but laugh with distain for his malicious trick.
