A day as a volleyball

I woke up and felt unusually uncomfortable. I was in a cage with volleyballs. I was a volleyball. I was confused and didn’t know how to react. All I could do was to wait for help.

Moments later, I heard someone was talking, it was a group of boys! I thought to myself that help finally arrived, but I forgot the fact that I was a volleyball. They opened the cage and picked me up along with other volleyballs. I was lost and horrified, I can’t even imagine what would be happening next. I fear the pain caused by making contact with those hands and the ground. I tried so hard to escape but I couldn’t do it without any arms and legs. I couldn’t hide forever, and finally I was chosen. I thought I was going to die from pain, as I made contact with one of the boys’ hand, it wasn’t as bad as I thought, and it was just like a scratch. Besides, I could see their strong belief in their eyes, they were really giving out all of their strength to achieve their dreams, they weren’t acting to get any praise but to achieve their dreams. After hours of hard work, they rested with a smile on their faces since their hard work paid off. Meanwhile, no one bragged about the tiredness or how boring the training was since they enjoyed the sport so much.

I saw it with my own eyes, through their sweat. I could see their strong passion and enthusiasm for their dreams. It was wonderful to be part of this passionate group.
