Walking in the rain

The silent and discreet drizzles slid down from the overcast sky. They were colorless and were as tiny as the crystals on the charming jewelry. “Tick- Tick- Tick…” The patter of raindrops could be heard clearly. They pitter- pattered on the roof and ground.

Soon, the sky turned dark and felt horrible. It was full of enormous and thick thunderclouds. The lightning flashed across the sky to embellish it. The thunder rolled like the lion king in the grassland of Africa as the torrential rain poured off from the terrible sky continuously. It sounded like the woman who lost her husband cried sadly and loudly. What a cacophony.

I took a firm step to move forward in the appalling weather. I put my hand into the rain. The thunderstorm gave me a stabling pain and unpleasant tingly sensation. I stepped on the paddles. Some of the droplets flew up high and danced excitedly in the sky while some of them rippled the water quietly and gently.

People on the street had different moods. Children were frightened by the pounding rain which sounded like bullets. They screamed as loud as they could when the thunder rolled and made great noises. The looked nervous and afraid so they hid in the hug of their caring parents to escape from the scary thunderstorm. Teenagers enjoyed the unexpected downpour. They sang songs, danced joyfully and splashed water to one another crazily. Gradually, they became a crowd of drowned rats.

What a funny picture drawn by the rain!
