Dear Stanley,

Hey! How are you? I heard that you got into troubles recently. I am writing to share how I face troubles with you.

A pair of smelly sneakers dropped onto your head. And the adults thought you stole the sneakers. They didn’t believe that you are innocent and sent you to Camp Green Lake to dig holes. You must feel terrible!

The adults always accuse us of telling lies. Few times are they patient enough to listen to our explanation before making their judgment. So I doubt if it is of any use to tell them that you didn’t steal the sneakers. I think the only thing you can do is to be obedient in the camp and wait for your parents to get you out of this horrible place. I heard from my mum that your parents are consulting a lawyer regarding your case. Be patient in the camp. You will soon be free!

Before that, you may need to learn some life skills staying in the camp. Being obedient is one of them to help you avoid getting into more troubles in the camp. Your group mates will not play tricks on you if you listen to X-Ray and the other boys. The counselor will also appreciate you and be better to you when he distributes water.

I also got into a trouble similar to yours in this week. A bowl of cup noodles soup was placed on the teacher’s chair. When the teacher sat onto the chair, her new dress got wet and dirty. She was so angry and shouted that she must punish the one who did that. Suddenly the teacher turned to me and said that it must be me who played the trick on her because she saw me having cup noodles for lunch that day. I had never seen her speaking in such severe anger. I was so scared that my heart beat extremely fast and nearly jumped out of my mouth! Her punishment was buying the same dress for her and making an apology to her in front of the class.

Anyway, both of us did not do bad things. We were punished just because the adults did not believe us. I hope that they will soon find out the truth. I wish that you can leave the camp as soon as possible. I also wish that I can find the dress as soon as possible or I will suffer another trouble.

 Love,

Kitty
