A letter to a drawing pencil

Dear Drawing Pencil,
I’m sorry I’ve used you too frequently and made you so short.  It’s all because of those sketches I’ve done.  Since last year, I’ve started using you to sketch and sometimes while I was sketching, I dropped you on the floor carelessly.  Then your tip snapped.  I used a pencil sharpener to sharpen you and some parts of your body were taken away.  If I hadn’t sharpened you, the lines drawn by you would have been too thick.  To draw a thin line, I needed to hurt you.  Sorry.
How I miss a long sketching pencil.  I feel very regretful.  If I had used you carefully, I wouldn’t have dropped you on the ground.  If I hadn’t dropped you, you wouldn’t have been broken.  If you hadn’t been broken, you wouldn’t have felt so painful.  I love to work with you.  The beautiful sketches are not only my masterpieces, but also your contribution.  If you hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have done the nice sketches.  Because of you, I could sketch well.  Thank you for keeping me company always.
Would you like to help me sketch again?  You now still can be used.  I don’t want to see you leave this world so soon.  I hope you spend your remaining lifetime meaningfully.  I’ll be glad to receive your service again and I’ll be careful when using you.  Please pardon me and let me hear your inner voice.

Yours,
Charissa
