She is old, thin, short, humpback and with a head of grey hair. From her appearance, she is not an attractive person. However, in my own opinion, she is one of the most beautiful people. Her name is Aunt Kwan.
Aunt Kwan is the most beautiful person because she always keeps a serene smile on her face and praises the Holy God sincerely. She is a poor old woman. She lives in a squatter. In order to save money, she picks the edible wild herbs for lunch and dinner. Moreover, she suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and thus her memory is worsening. However, she does not blame anybody, instead she always sings hymns to praise God. She is poor in living but rich in soul. Her serene smile makes her beautiful and attractive.
Aunt Kwan is the most beautiful person because she always gives her helping hands to others. Although she is poor, she is still willing to share with other people. From time to time, she goes to the mainland China to visit the poor and those who are neglected. She will share the gospel with them. She even helps the mental patients to have reunion with their families and society. She believes that her life is blessed by God to love others more. She is a beautiful angel in God’s and others’ eyes.
In fact many people including me are impressed by the story of Aunt Kwan; therefore, she was awarded an honor in the 2010 Hong Kong Top Ten Loving Hearts Selection Campaign. She is an ordinary old lady but she is full of inner beauty. No one can deny that she is one of the most beautiful people.
