“Practice makes perfect,” said David Cheng, the new star of Barcelona. David joined Barcelona in 2030. This is his second season staying at Barcelona, and the post had an interview with this young man.

Requirements & qualifications

“Of course, you must have excellent football skills,” said David. “Shooting, passing, dribbling, you have to nail them all. I have been watching videos of Neymar learning the dribbling skill. Unbelievably, it is useful. Good physical strength is also indispensable since we must run on the football field for more than 90 minutes. Besides, having team spirit is also crucial. You may have heard that football is not a game for just one man. You have to work with your ten teammates to triumph in the game. Just pass the ball and believe in your teammates. Teamwork is the key to success. What’s more, the essential requirement is passion. You have to love football because the training could be so dull. You do the same routine of practice day by day. Moreover, victory in games is never guaranteed. We once lost by 0-8 in a match. That’s why passion is utterly essential. If you are passionate, you will never give up, no matter how bad the situation is.

A day at work

The training is a routine of running, shooting, passing, and dribbling. It is somewhat repetitive. “We have to train for more than 6 hours daily to form muscle memories and prepare for matches,” he said. David keeps on running from sunrise to sunset. He said it would not be too exhausting since he has already gotten used to it. “Persistence is the key to success,” he said.

Long-term prospects

David won the Kopa Trophy last year. It is the award for the most valuable new footballer. He is not satisfied with just a Kopa Trophy. He told us he wants to be as good as his Idol, Messi. He aspires to get a Ballon d’Or and aims to become one of the best strikers in the world. He would also like to shout out to his country to represent his country to join the World Cup 2030.” I would win a trophy for my country,” he said. Let’s look forward to the performance of this ambitious young man in the World Cup 2030.

The happiest moment in my career

“It was the day I joined Barcelona,” David recalled. “It was my dream club. Messi, Eto, and Ronaldinho, so many legends came from it. Imagine that I could become one of them one day! Moreover, I met Ronaldinho here that day. He shook my hand and told me that he had noticed my performance. I’d never imagined it — a living legend was standing in front of me, shaking my hand! I can’t even think of words to describe my feeling at that moment. It was just like your dream from your childhood had suddenly come true!” David was still thrilled about the encounter with his idol.

David is such a friendly and humble football player. Hopefully, he will achieve all his goals one day, he will become a legend just like Messi, Eto, and Ronaldinho.
