A piece of useful chalk

Hello! I am a piece of white chalk. I am tall and thin. I live in 2E classroom. I have many friends : red chalk, yellow chalk, green chalk, purple chalk, blue chalk, duster, towels and blackboard. I have lessons with teachers and students every day.

Every morning, subject leaders use me to write notices on the blackboard. Our dear monitress, Carina, uses me to draw the homework column. Tony Jar, the strong monitor, uses me to write the class numbers on the blackboard who are on duty.

Teachers use me to write words for teaching.  I love to show students knowledge, but I don’t want to be short and ugly. My friends feel the same too, but this is our destiny. Students use me to write too. I love nice hand-writing written by students. Therefore, I don’t like K…Ken Leung’s words. His words are big, ugly and messy!  Besides, a teacher, Mrs. Au, always says that there is no more white chalk. She always asks Tony Jar to take more chalk. Poor monitor!

Day after day, I become shorter and uglier. One day, I was dropped on the floor. I got stepped upon and became chalk powder.  My life ended, but I didn’t regret. I brought knowledge, and happiness to students. My mission was finished.
