I have read the story ‘The Scent of the Gods’ about your experience lying to your
grandmother to protect your country. However, I suggest you obey your grandmother.
Firstly, you will lose your life like your father if you keep joining the National Cadets and fight in wars. As your grandmother said in the story, your father died in wars because he had the same feeling as you. Therefore, I think you should learn from your father’s lesson. I think your father in the heaven don’t want to see you doing the same thing and died like him. Therefore, you
should obey your grandmother as she is not hoping you to join the National Cadets.
Secondly, the good relationship between and your grandmother is very important. Your grandmother is your only person that you can rely on and she is being very good to you. If you break the good relationship with your grandmother, you won’t get the love and care
from your grandmother. Also, your grandmother is taking care of you now and you can’t leave her. Therefore, you had better obey your grandmother.
Thirdly, you can consider whether you join the National Cadets after you grow even older. It’s not the time you think of protecting your country. It’s a good thing to have this idea but you should have your teenage with your brother and sister now. You are now too young to think about this. Therefore, I highly suggest you obey your grandmother.
