The Mysterious Door

‘Good morning, students. Our school is going to hold a musical at the end of the year to raise fund for the needy. Students who are interested in it, please sign up and form a group,’ the principal made an announcement during the school assembly.
‘That’s great! We’re going to put on a musical.’  We felt excited about the news and I formed a group with my friends.
A week later, the teacher asked us to gather at the hall where the cast started rehearsing on stage. The teacher handed us a key and told us to go to the room where all the costumes and props were kept.  We then went there to see if there was anything useful.
We walked step by step as it was a narrow passage leading to the costume and props room, which was a dusty and crammed with stuff and weird-looking rubbish that had piled up over the years.  A single overhead bulb cast a dim light.  Old pieces of costumes poked up like fingers and threw strange shadows everywhere.  I began to explore the mysterious place with my friends, carefully searching around.  There were many broken clocks, strange cupboards, and jumbled chairs. “Wow!   There is a door,’ I said as I discovered it.  A sign saying’ DO NOT ENTER’ was stuck on the door.  We tried to turn the handle but it wouldn’t budge. We wondered what was inside the door.
‘That’s where the school ghost lives,’ Hello Kitty put on her scary voice.  Josephine screamed and punched his arm.’ Don’t say things like that.’  ‘Yes! It’s not funny,’ Bertrand said. Something must be in there.  Otherwise there wouldn’t be a door.  Bertrand tried to turn the handle again, but the door was firmly locked.
Then a strange voice came from behind the door.  It was definitely the sound of someone or something breathing.  As the breathing noise got louder, my curiosity grew deeper.  ‘Is there a mouse inside?  Something trapped in there? An animal?  Or maybe someone has been kidnapped and they’re looking for help!’
We left and asked the teacher about the door at the back of the room.  The teacher told us that she had been down to that room dozens of time but there was no door at the back.   She thought we were joking.  So we wanted to go there again to solve the mystery and this time we went with the teacher and showed her the mysterious door.
Before we went to the mysterious door, so many strange things seemed to have happened.  For example, I had the same dream with my friends, a strange headache was beginning to torment the corners of my mind and pain was throbbing through my brain continuously.
When I went to the mysterious door with my teacher, the ‘DO NOT ENTER’ sign had disappeared.  I turned around and my teacher had disappeared, too.  Then I turned the knob of the door.  It was not locked this time.  I saw a man having a nap inside.  He was a lazy school caretaker.
