My first Carmel Picnic Day

The fifth of November, 2015, was my first Carmel Picnic Day. That day in the morning, I was really excited and I even forgot to bring along my badminton racket! Fortunately I have time to take it back.

It was 9 o’clock, and I have already arrived at the Central MTR station. There were only a few people. A few minutes later, more classmates came. More and more classmates came, so we started to chat with each other. When all the 1A students and teachers arrived, all of us followed Mr. Tang to the bus terminal and took the number 6 bus.

On the way to Tai Tam Country Park, Mr. Tang recommended the famous places and buildings to us. He is just like an experienced tour guide, introducing the popular or long-established places and buildings. While he was introducing the places and buildings to us, we just could not help taking some photos of them.

After a long long bus ride, we got off the bus. We walk on a slope. The weather was very hot and the slope was very steep, so we all felt tired. However, I liked it, since it was very challenging. Before walking to Tai Tam Country Park, we went to Wong Nai Chung Reservoir. We took a rest there and took photos with each other. The view there was fascinating. Apart from it, the air there was flesh. It made me feel relaxed.

Time flew, after a while, we arrived at Tai Tam Country Park. At first, I played badminton with my friends. Some time later, all of us played two games together. I was responsible for one of the games killer. When I was teaching my classmates and teachers how to play the game, some of my classmates were inpatient. They always shouted and said “I don’t know how to play!”“But the same that I played before is not like that!” And they started discussing with each other. I had to keep repeating the rules, so I told them to keep quiet. But even after I said “keep quiet” for many times, most of them still did not listen to me.

When the game started, they had to close their eyes. When I tell them to do so, they did not listen to me again. Most of them closed their eyes, but some of them opened them again quickly. It is really hard to handle a game.

After a while, we had to start BBQ. When Mr. Tang asked, “Maybe we stop here, and start BBQ.” My classmates were just like birds set free. They were very happy and shouted “Yeah!” At that time, I was sad and very disappointed. In this, I knew that I have to create a more interesting game for them to play.

It is time for barbecue. All of us were divided into different groups. Our group started to light the fire, but we couldn’t do that. Luckily, Mr. Tang came and helped us. At last, we did it! I was really grateful for Mr. Tang. I heated the food by fire and ate it with my friends. We all enjoyed the time very much.

Before we left, we took photos with each other. We also took group photos with all of us in a shape of the words “1A”! After photo taking, we left the country park.

Despite some unhappiness, I will still remember this picnic. Why? It is because this is my first Carmel Picnic Day!!
