Dear Ronnie,

How’s life? Is everything in Singapore cool?

I’m really glad to know your situation in Singapore. You’re really lucky to have a chance to improve your English. I’m now so jealous of you as I want to study overseas too! It must be an interesting situation. I’ve done quite well in my uniform test. However, I believe there’s still room for me to improve. I’ll work hard for my final exam. I want to be as hard-working as you!

As for Carmel, all Carmelians including me had a good time celebrating the 50th Anniversary! As usual, I was responsible for being the pianist. It was really unforgettable! Let me tell you the events of this celebration. There was a cozy and boisterous vibe around all Carmelians. We were all looking forward to having  the celebration! Therefore, students were all working hard for their roles and jobs. First, we had a game booth for making sand bottles. Beautiful sand bottles were made. Second, we had three night shows. Different programs were elaborated and designed by teachers and students. The funniest program was a competition for students and parents. The competition was a game of guessing Carmel’s historical events. Students and parents were picked and divided into four groups. Everyone was happy. My favorite program was the performance of the Choir (Probably it was because it was the program I took part in.) The climax of the night show was the performance of the teacher band. Four male teachers, Mr. Lau, Mr. Yip, Mr. Ho and Mr. Wong danced and sang. Everyone waved their hands in the air and clapped. It was really amusing. I couldn’t stop laughing! Third, we had our Thanksgiving service. Our ex-principal, Mrs. Leung, introduced Carmel’s history to us. The most unforgettable event for me was the cleaning day. We spent time cleaning the whole school. Though it was tiring, it was worthwhile! All Carmelians showed great cooperation with each other!

When would you come to Carmel to visit us? We miss you so much! The long assembly was really meaningful. Mr. Hsu explained there is no contradiction between the Bible and Science. He explained his points in three categories:the definition of death, the structure of DNA, and the brain structure. We could not only acquire Biology knowledge but also learn more about God’s words!

It is really great to have a long holiday. I know you will travel to Vietnam. I’ll never have your luck. There will be an exam after the holiday. Therefore, I can almost predict I’ll have a hard time of revision!

Wish you a delightful Christmas! Keep in touch!

Yours,

Sunny
