An Animal Poem: My Animal Family

I have an ox,
A hardworking, funny and strong ox.
I only get to see him once a week,
So when he comes back I always give him a kiss on the cheek.
He is always so kind, and never does he get mad.
He is the one I call Dad.

My house is ruled by a tigress,
I call her my mother.
She takes care of everything in the house,
But when she sees insects, she can be as timid as a mouse.
That is why I call her my dearest mother,
Who loves to wear dresses.

I have a little dog,
He loves to run around in the fog.
He’s so funny and obedient,
And he’s always so convenient.
But I must say, he’s sometimes a bother,
He is my sweet little brother.

And there’s me the lazy pig,
The one who talks big.
And also the one who loves to read,
Because it gives me the feeling of being freed.
To fly out of this logical world,
Into one where logic is twisted and curled.
