Last Saturaday evening, I was out walking with my parents in Tai Po Village in the New Territories. Just outside a village, I saw some people acting suspiciously. Two of them were taking things out of a truck. Three of them were moving things onto the ground.

I thought the five strangers were illegal immigrants. They looked like bad men and wore sunglasses. Some of them were wearing a T-shirt and jeans. Some of them were wearing smart casual clothes. I hid near the bushes so they could not see me. My parents hid beside the bushes. I felt frightened. I did not know what they were doing and what the things in the truck were. Should I call the police?

Then, I didn’t know why the illegal immigrants saw my parents.

‘Don’t move,’ they said and blindfolded their eyes with a towel. They asked my parents to go into the truck. ‘I will kill you if you called the police,’ the illegal immigrants warned. One of the illegal immigrants stared at them angrily.

Luckily, they could not see me because I was short and hid beside the bushes, so I reminded myself to calm down and dug in my pockets for my mobile phone. I decided to call 999.

‘I’m in danger,’ I whispered and I told the police where I was so that the police could find me.

After 20 minutes, the police came. They found me and saved my parents who were in the truck.

‘You’re brave,’ my parents boasted and gave a thumbs up to me. I smiled. At last, the illegal immigrants were caught and the policemen found the things they were moving were drugs.
