‘The most boring science lesson in the world again,’ John uttered quietly in his seat.
While Mr. Lee was giving a speech on the topic ‘atoms’ in the class, John was still daydreaming about the cartoon he watched the night before. He was astonished to see some robots invading the Earth and exchanging their minds. Thinking of the scenes on TV, he drew a robot in his textbook, designing and colouring it but because of the boredom, he soon felt asleep.
‘I am your new science teacher! Listen to me!’ A sudden shout in a mechanic voice scared John. He jumped up and he saw his newly-designed robot in his book appear in front of him. John was extremely shocked. He cried out loudly, ‘Do you think you can control my mind?’
He tried to step towards the robot. Yet, he felt a sense of paralysis. John could not even spit out a word.
Then the robot started talking. He shouted at John, “You think you could be more powerful than me?” he began to laugh proudly.
John could not move an inch. He used all of his energy to scream but he did it in vain.
‘John! John!’ Mr. Lee’s voice rang in his ear as the freeze started to fade. John opened his eyes. He saw Mr. Lee again and the robot disappeared.
‘I am sorry, Mr. Lee,’ John said regretfully.
