The Art of Giving

In Hong Kong, there are many charities providing help to different groups of people in need.  So are many people in this society.  We need to learn the art of giving.  Not only can we donate money, but we can also help the poor by many other ways.  Being a secondary student, I have no income, no savings or status.  However, I learn to give by joining charity walks, donating things and teaching the poor children for free.
We can learn to give by joining charity walks.  Every year, there are charity walks which call for volunteers to walk for several kilometers.  More people joining the walks means more donations.  Although we have no money to donate, we are able to donate our energy.  Being sweaty, thirsty and hungry is the experience of participating in charity walks.  We can experience the plight of the poor.  Also, walking is good for our health.
We can also donate things that are still reusable to others, such as clothes, stationery and furniture.  We always buy things, dislike things and then waste lots of things.  Those resources could be reused by others.  We should donate them to those in need.  We will be more environmentally-friendly if we waste less.
Furthermore, we can share our knowledge with others.  As secondary students, we are able to teach the kindergarten and primary students.  We can provide them with tutorial classes for free.  Poor families may not afford to employ a professional tutor.  That is really expensive.  Therefore, we could take the opportunity to help the poor children.  We learn as we teach others and gain a sense of achievement.
In conclusion, I think using other ways to practise the art of giving is more beneficial than getting money from our parents’ pocket to make donations.  I strongly recommend teenagers practise giving by ways other than mo
