A writer is a person who produces literary content, including but not limited to stories, poetry, music and other literary art, advertising, procedures and books.
Young Post meets Paula Chan, who is a writer.

Requirements
You need to be good at one language since you have to write books.  You should be creative and able to find new ideas and inspirations for your writing.  Carefulness and patience are also important as you need to proofread whether your writing has grammatical mistakes and wrong use of words. Otherwise, you will teach your readers the wrong things. Of course, a keen interest in writing is essential as writing is a long task.  You need to be ambitious too. Why? As a writer, you should be thirsty for every new writing skill so that you would not be bounded by your own feet.

Qualifications
Actually, there are no specific qualifications for being a writer. Everyone can be a writer as long as you can write. But of course, a bachelor’s degree of art is an advantage since you can write fluently with gorgeous sentences. Don’t forgo your writhing dream if your educational background is not high. There are various ways to learn writing skills. For example, Chan attended different writing lessons that were lectured by the famous writers. Another way is to work in the publishing company. Then you could be the first one to read through the writer’s new books and even have the chances to talk to them.

Work prospects
Once you become famous, some schools might invite you to be the lecturer of their talks and you may have the chance to appear on television. It seems like a starry way but only if you have actual strength and luck can you walk on it.

Responsibilities
A writer is responsible for communicating with the publishing team, researching new story ideas, writing and proofreading story books.

A day at work
Chan is sitting in front of the working desk, digging into the manuscript paper for a new book. Sometimes, she walks around and flips through books to find new ideas. After striving for a few hours, she goes to the publisher to discuss the issue of her new book.  Chan says being a writer is very wonderful as you can see your thread of ideas become tangible and share with others. But she also says it’s a very tiring job, and requires a lot of stamina and energy.
