Have you ever imagined that you can be one of the friends of your favorite singer? Not only having a friendly relationship, but also spending a whole day with him or her? Thanks to winning in a competition in a music magazine, I got a prize which was spending a Saturday with Eason Chan. Don’t you want to know how the best Saturday in my life went?
My parents have to go out for work every Saturday morning so I usually wake up late in such a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. However, something strange happened last Saturday. At about 9 a.m., an annoying ringing of the doorbell woke me up. I was so angry about that and dragged myself to check what’s going on. After opening the door, I was shocked. The man who was standing right in front of me was Eason Chan. ‘Good morning! I bought a McDonalds’ breakfast for you. Go and brush your teeth now! We have a lot of activities today!’ Eason said. I was speechless at that moment and followed his order like a robot.
After having breakfast at home, we went to his studio by his car. On the way, we didn’t have much communication as I still thought that it was a dream. Also, he drove very fast and it made me scared. I nearly vomited after leaving the car and this made him laugh.
It was the first time I went into Eason’s studio.t was a very pretty and cool studio. Eason chose black and yellow for the walls. Moreover, a numerous number of his posters were hung on the walls. I could find all the posters from 1999 to 2010. Suddenly, a guitar string was strummed behind me. I could see Joey Tan, Pat Lu and Christopher Chek. All of them were the music producers of Eason’s CDs! ‘Let's play music together, man. Enjoy your first activity!’ Eason said behind me. Therefore, we stayed in the studio for nearly 3 hours. We sang different kinds of songs like jazz, pop, R&B, and so on. Also, Joey taught me to play the guitar and Eason taught me beatbox. We had a great time in the studio.
The next activity was playing soccer. Eason was one of the members of the All-Star Football Team and I was the captain of my school's football team too. Therefore, we went to the football field in Wan Chai and had a match with the teens. When we arrived, the youngsters were shocked because of the coming of Eason. They stopped the match immediately and asked for autographs of Eason. After a while, we started the game. It was not an exciting game because many spectators stood in the surrounding. They made me nervous. However, Eason seemed to enjoy the game. Although he became fatter in recent years, he ran through the field. In the end, we won the game by 2-0. Both Eason and I had a goal.
Lastly, we went back to Eason's home. He said his wife was invited to a fashion show that night and so we could play ‘Winning Eleven’ all night. However, once we opened the door, Eason's daughter Constance ran to his daddy and asked for playing with her. Our idea of playing TV games had to be given up and we had to play puzzles with her. Though it was less interesting, it was very warm. I am so glad that Eason has such a lovely daughter and she has a competent father.
To sum up, it was not a very successful Saturday. However, I enjoyed it very much since I cannot get the second chance forever.
