Do you know how many pets are being abandoned every year? More than three thousand stray dogs were found on the street. Do you know how pets are mistreated by some cold-blooded people? They are not only beaten up, their paws and legs are also chopped off. You do think that we have the responsibility to protect them from hazards, and help them live a better life, don't you?
Even though more and more people adopt pets, it does not seem that the animals can be rescued. Some people do not think twice before adopting a pet. They do not consider keeping a pet as a life-long commitment. Because of their immatureness, the number of strays keeps rising. But the resources of the SPCA are limited. We do not have the ability to take care of each abandoned pet and help them find a new home. In some situations, we have to perform animal euthanasia. We know it is cruel, but we have no choice. We do not have enough resources to save all animals from being harmed. We need your help!
If you are going to adopt a pet, please think whether you can take good care of it. For dogs, walking them 2-3 times a week is necessary. It you cannot do that, just give the thought up. You will not be able to look after these loyal friends. If you have already adopted a pet, please do not consider leaving it alone. It needs your love and your attention. It will love you for eternity, so you should love it back. Don't see pets as troubles, but as gifts from God. Never forget the joy they bring to you, because bringing you happiness will be their greatest wish. They love you, trust you and treat you as their only precious one, so you cannot abandon them so easily.
Truthfully speaking, strays are not the worst cases out there. Animal abuse is the worst one. Can you believe that someone can put some cats into a bottle and just leave them there? Have you ever seen a dog with its legs chopped off? You can't imagine how hard and tough their time will be. Unfortunately, I must state again, we SPCA do not have enough resources to take care of them all. We can just put some of them to death. However, this is absolutely not a good way to solve the problem! Our aim is to prevent cruelty to animals, so we really hope that no one will abuse animals anymore. We should learn to respect lives. Pets are not our punching bags or play things. We should not torture them for the sake of our own entertainment. Remember, they are living things. They can feel pain and they will get hurt. They may even think this world does not welcome them at all. How poor and innocent they are!
Please give us your helping hand as soon as possible. There are several things you can do to help us. Donating money to these guiltless animals, adopting a pet to love and heal its hearts or telling others not to abandon and abuse animals as they have the rights to live in this world, help protect the animals. We will be most grateful and will appreciate your kind heart. You may also be a volunteer of the SPCA, like what I am doing, to take care of animals and to play with them. But what is the most important is that, we give them a feeling of being loved. You can see their changes very easily. You will not gain this happiness and joy from any other places. So why are you still hesitating? Come and join us, and together we will build a heaven for animals!
