I would like to discuss the new trend about more men putting emphasis on their appearance. More and more gentlemen are in search of better looks nowadays. They not only wear make-up but also turn to plastic surgery to improve their facial features. Is this a desirable trend? In my opinion, it is alright for men to look for more appealing appearance.

First of all, better looks can boost men’s confidence. Most of the women want to have a beautiful face which gives them a sense of pride in front of other people, so do men. Men feel more confident facing strangers when they see that their looks appeal to them. They become more relaxed to interact with other people and let them understand more about their other strengths. Both wearing make-up and undergoing plastic surgery can help them to improve their appearance. The difference between the two choices is that cosmetics can only stay on one’s face for a short period of time and the changes done are limited. On the other hand, undergoing plastic surgery can make more changes on one’s features and they can last for a very long time.

Besides, a better appearance can really help a person to gain better prospects and employment opportunities. Some men are affected by their facial problems, like pimples. They may be turned down at interviews since employers tend to choose candidates with better appearance when it comes to some jobs, such as salesperson and beautician. They need better looks to appeal to their customers.

On the other hand, some people may think that if the plastic surgery fails, the person may be disfigured with permanent scars. But new medicine has been developed. There might be minor errors but they can be corrected by other doctors.

All in all, appearance is important for not only women but also men. It is alright to wear make-up and undergoing plastic surgery to make a better change.
