Dear Chris,

How are you? I remember last time when I chatted with you, you told me that you have always wanted a place where delicious grub is provided, and you can chill out on weekends. Do you know the newly opened restaurant —’NOC Coffee Co.’? I went there last Sunday. It did give me a good experience.

Let me begin with its location first. This restaurant is near exit D2 of Whampoa Station. It is so convenient that we can quickly get there by taking the MTR!

For its environment, the restaurant is designed in a minimalist and industrial style, with walls and tables in a plain color tone. The restaurant is bright and decently spacious, with many seats and tables. Most importantly, there are a few floor-to-ceiling glass windows which allow you to enjoy the magnificent view while dining. I was deeply attracted to the view! As the restaurant is located along the waterfront promenade, you can enjoy some greenery and a gorgeous sea view when you look outside the window! Can you imagine how relaxing it is? I’m sure that you can immediately leave your worries behind you.

In terms of the dishes, I would like to give them a big thumbs up. This restaurant is a cafe which advocates healthy eating and light meals. Their food is suitable for a wide variety of people such as vegans, pescatarians, and meat lovers. Who says nutritious and healthy food is equivalent to unpalatable food? I ordered the signature dish —NOC Benedict— which contained two poached eggs, smoked salmon, baby spinach, and sourdough toasts with the secret sauce dribbling down. The sourdough toasts brought a slightly sour flavor to balance the greasy smoked salmon. The spinach also made the whole dish refreshing. The dressing impressed me a lot. Unlike other Eggs Benedicts, the sauce was not the traditional hollandaise sauce but the special avocado sauce. It elevates the taste of this dish! I also ordered a cup of green tea latte. It had a rich taste of milk and matcha. The texture was so creamy and smooth. I love it! The latte art on it was exquisite. I couldn’t help taking photos! The thought of destroying it was just unbearable!

Last but not least, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. When I entered their restaurant, they introduced me to their coffee and their newly-launched products. When I found the place where I was sitting was cold, I told a waiter about this. At once, he changed the seat for me and asked me whether I needed a shawl. My heart was warmed by this action. Therefore, from their service, I could feel the staff’s passion and care towards the customers.

Finally, I would like to talk about the price. Although their dishes and drinks were not cheap at all, they were reasonable considering the good environment, high food quality, and excellent service. It is normal to pay good money for a good experience, right? What’s more, there’s no service charge!

I strongly recommend you to have a try. The links below can give you a better picture of this restaurant. Feel free to check it out. I look forward to receiving your reply.

Best wishes,

Pat
