Book title: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Author: J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter spent another summer at his aunt and uncle’s house. One day, Harry and his cousin were attacked by dementors. He cast a spell to drive the dementors away. The Order of Phoenix brought Harry to their headquarters, his godfather’s house. The Order was a secret organisation that fought against Voldemort. Throughout the school year, Harry had awkward dreams about a secret room in the Ministry. He saw his godfather, Sirius, tortured by Voldemort. Harry and his friends went to the Department of Mysteries, where a battle occurred.

The book reminds us of the importance of unity. At the story’s beginning, the Sorting Hat sang a song to point out that though the students were separated into four houses, they should be united  and fight the threat together. Harry, Ron, and Hermione founded Dumbledore’s Army at Hogwarts.  Students from different houses were welcomed to join the DA if they wanted to comprehend advanced spells and charms. They united and fought against the atrocious headmistress, Dolores  Umbridge.

Harry Potter is my favourite character in this book. He was the leader of Dumbledore’s Army and the strongest among the Golden Trio. He was courageous and resourceful but also impulsive. He was desperate to save Sirius. He rushed to the Ministry without thinking twice, putting himself and his friends in danger.

The best part of the plot is the battle in the Department of Mysteries. Voldemort wanted a prophecy.  He sent an untrue vision to Harry’s mind to lure him to the Department of Mysteries. Shortly after they had arrived, Harry and his friends were encircled by death eaters. A skirmish took place. I  appreciate the vivid description of the battle. It feels like I was there watching them fight. It was intense and breathtaking.

Generally, I would summarise Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as exceptional. The plot is compelling and sensational. I would recommend this book to people who love reading fantasy  novels.
