I am a mobile phone that was born last year. I was bought by a thirteen-year-old girl called Hannah. She often wore a broad smile. I really liked her at that time as she brought me contentment.

At first, Hannah cared for me and gave me food when I was hungry. After filling my stomach with some lip-smacking battery, she let me play tranquil music that we both loved and enjoyed. When she was miserable, I would play it for her, and I could see her warm smile again. We liked helping each other.

One day, I overheard Hannah’s parents quarreling with each other. There must be something wrong! I gathered my hacking skills, and went to grind in the message of Hannah’s parents. I discovered that her dad lost all the money on a risky investment, and a few days later, he had committed suicide. Hannah and her mum had a lack of money at that moment. I was astonished! I really wanted to help! That made me feel dismayed.

After the incident, I noticed that Hannah became more and more suspicious. Hannah got abject day after day. When I played her favorite mollifying calm music, she would begin smashing my face like a truck, and I would be in agony. When I was hungry, she would strike my cheeks with the charging plug first and then feed me. However, I wanted her to be joyful again, so I sometimes played her favorite memes and jokes for her. But not as I was expected, she thought I was irksome, even though I was trying to help her. After abusing and ignoring me in excruciating pain, she seemed to be sobbing with a heavy heart, and that made me feel downhearted.

After days, her mental conditions seemed to be so terrible that I nearly showered with tears every day. We were both down in the dumps. I felt like she had already given up on me. I really missed the old Hannah that was always as happy as Larry.

‘Ding!’ A notification caught my attention. It was the record of Hannah’s school academic results. But what I saw next made my eyes on stalks. She had failed all the subjects and even got expelled from school. I exclaimed, “I can’t stand it! I have to take action!” I began to think and think… Suddenly, an excellent idea sprang into my mind. I declared like a lion, “I am fond of programming and inventing apps! I can make money from it!” I gathered all of my “programming-pals” online to help me to make the app, and after a hot minute, we invented a social networking app called ‘In-and-outstagram’ together. This app let users like and share posts, and can also connect with others. We did our best to help Hannah. We even contacted the CEO of the phone company called ‘Orange’, Elony Musky, to help us launch the app.

In a week, In-and-outstagram had already gone viral. It became a trend and it set off a craze in the world. Celebrities such as Ronald Rump and Billy Gates also had an account connected to it. I hope Hannah would appreciate it.

A month after the app was invented, Hannah still hadn’t picked me up yet. She came home as usual, miserably. I really wanted her to know about what I did and to give her a surprise, I played her favorite music to catch her attention, and it really worked. She walked slowly like a turtle to me with bloody eyes, but rather than abusing me, she picked up me with gentleness and enjoyed the music. Then, I displayed the app that I made for her. When she saw it, her eyes became wider and wider. She covered her mouth with exclamation. I murmured, “Hope this can help you, my friend!” That was the first time I talked to her, and she burst into tears. From that day on, Hannah doesn’t lack money anymore with the app’s help, and her academic results are now getting better. She and her mum live merrily every single day.

Hannah loves me. We often play and chat together, and we become bosom buddies again.
