So this is my confession

“So this is my confession ~my heart……”Ken is listening to an enjoyable song called “My Confession”.  Undeniably, lyrics always touch the deepest place of our soul. He listens to the song intently and smiles involuntarily.  All these point to the fact that he has fallen in love.

Ken is a naughty boy at school.  He always fights with his classmates and he is always the winner.  “It is just a piece of cake!” is Ken’s usually remark after a fight.  Ken is an impulsive boy but he is nice to friends in fact.  Last Monday, he was given a demerit because he was involved in a fight since his friend Rock was hit by some guys.  However, this strong boy is falling in love recently.

Last month, Ken was made to stand outside the classroom.  He hated the way others looked at him.  He knows that every classmate sees him as an alien because he always makes trouble.  But Ken thinks that being youth is to live happily and freely.  When he was standing outside the classroom, a pretty girl appeared in front of him and smiled so sweetly. Ken knew her.  She is the most beautiful and popular girl in the school and is called Linda.  She has fair skin and long hair.  Linda and her friends were talking about Ken.  Ken is shy in front of girls and his face blushes although he is tough and brave while fighting.  Linda winked at him and Ken realized she was only joking.  But he was ecstatic when Linda winked at him and everything seemed to become perfect at that moment.

Since then, Linda is always on his mind.  Linda is the apple of his eyes. Every day he looks at her intently from far away.  “Confess to her!” Rock tells Ken suddenly.  “What!?” Ken sounds surprised.  “If I were you, I’d reveal my heart to her!”  Rock said honestly.  Rock is a frank and clever guy.  He is the best friend of Ken.  Facing love, he is a brave and honest person.  “But I am too shy to talk to her…” Ken said.  “Ok Then I would take action on her because I love her also!” Rock said clearly.  Ken is shocked and his face turns red.  He dashes the glass on the desk against the wall to relieve his discontent.  He cannot believe that his best friend is his enemy.  In the classroom, there are just Ken and Rock.  There is silence but you can feel that the atmosphere is queer that day.  After a while, “She is mine!” Ken shouted.  “She is mine but not yours!” Rock shouted!  The competition begins!

Ken is day dreaming about how to confess to Linda during the lesson.  He smiles involuntarily again because he is wondering if Linda will say yes.  “Ken Hui! Stand up!” Miss Chan shouts with a grating voice.  “Mr Hui, when will you concentrate during the lesson?”  Miss Chan is so angry about Ken’s learning attitude.”  How stupid you are!  Get out of the classroom and stand for ten minutes!”  She never gives up a chance to punish Ken.  Ken doesn’t take it seriously because his love for Linda has occupied the whole of him.  However, he doesn’t know that Rock is frowning at him.  When Ken is standing outside the class, Linda passes in front of him again.  Ken is just like a fool because he thinks that it is God’s wonderful planning.  ‘Hi. My name is…Ken.’  Ken introduces himself and blushes.  His heart is pounding.  “I’m fine! Nice to meet you, Ken!  I heard of your name before since you are the most troublesome boy in school,’ Linda says.  ‘In fact, I …feel… myself becoming immersed in your every detail.  I think you are wonderful. Would … you… mind… being my girl friend?’ Ken asks.  ‘I am sorry, Ken. I have a boyfriend,’ she refuses Ken.  Ken’s love proposal is in vain.

Now, his heart is full of envy, anger and bitterness.  The failure of confession makes him feel like falling into the cold, unfathomable, lifeless abyss.  He wants to win in the love game.  He picks a knife and stabs Linda and her boyfriend when she is having a lesson.  He loses reason and becomes crazy.  A pretty girl is chopped into pieces and Ken’s hands are full of blood.  Everyone is shocked and screams loudly. However, Ken continues.  Rock comes to the classroom immediately; he can only smell of blood and find that Linda and her boyfriend are killed by Ken.  ‘Stop it!  Ken!  Stop it!’ Rock pulled him away.  At that moment, Ken finally recognized Rock’s voice.  ‘She rejected me! How come? I should win in the game!’  Ken cries and holds the hands of Rock.  Rock can feel the wet, red stinky blood in his hands.  He is scared.  He knows his friend has gone mad.

“Ken, love is not a fight.  My confession fouls too!  But we should not take it seriously.  Youth is to live happily and freely as you said but now, you’ve walked into a dark corner.”  Rock cries because his best friend has become a crazy and helpless killer.  Meanwhile, the police come and arrest Ken.  He is eventually sent to the Castle Peak Hospital.

Winning in a fight is a piece of cake to Ken.  He never fails in fighting.  However, he cannot overcome such a stupid love game.  How strong is the power of love?  It can turn a person mad.  This famous case is called “High School Chopping Incident”.
