You visited a newly opened amusement park, Fantasy Island, with your family last week. You want to share your experience with your friends on your blog.

The theme park, its location and transport

Fantasy Island in Tai Mo Shan was finally opened last week! After visiting Disneyland and Ocean Park for countless times, I started to find the appeal of these theme parks fading. I was so excited to know that a new amusement park has been built, so I went there with my family the first day it was opened. It was not difficult to reach there as private cars are allowed and the hill is not craggy at all. Another means of transport is cable car, which brings visitors uphill from the bottom of the mountain.

Things I liked about the theme park

There are a lot of things I like about Fantasy Island. As its name suggests, the view puts visitors into a fantasy island because of its breathtaking beauty. In the morning, the weather was foggy, but it made us feel we were in the middle of the clouds. The sunset was fascinating as well.  Standing on the top of the mountain, we could watch the sun slowly faded and disappeared into darkness.

The attitude of the staff members is also what I appreciate much. As we weren’t familiar with the park, we got lost. Then all of a sudden some staff approached us and asked if we needed any help. That was so nice of them! Not only did they show us the way, they even led us to our destination!

As a photography lover, a selfie ‘addict’ to be exact haha, those photo booths of different themes really attracted me. There were themes like romance, kids, fun, horror and fantasy.  There must be some that appeal to you. Each booth had its own irresistible charm that made me stay; I was reluctant to leave to be honest.

My least favourite attraction

The Haunted House. No, I am not joking. A haunted house is located in a place called ‘Fantasy Island’. Does this make sense? It doesn’t revolve around the theme of the park. Besides, I didn’t feel well at all after going in it. I almost had my heart in my mouth! The main point isn’t about how mouse-like I am. This attraction is totally incompatible with the park, which disappointed me a bit.

Overall comment

Fantasy Island is not bad overall. It is suitable for all ages to visit. The facilities are so advanced and convenient that even the disabled can take part in most of the activities. Help is always around the corner. Their service is brilliant I must say. The most important thing is…it gives you a feeling of fantasy (except the haunted house). If I have a chance to visit an amusement park, Fantasy Island will be my priority.
