Dear Ronnie,

I am glad to receive your letter. It has already a few months since we met. How is your life in Singapore? Do you like your new school?

Recently, I have read a lot of fiction books during the ERS lessons. I have read about 25 books in total. I have got a favorite book “Drawing with crayons”. It teaches readers to effectively use crayons to finish artworks. I have learnt some useful skills from the book and drawn many beautiful pictures. In the coming academic year, I wish to finish reading 70 books.

I have just finished UT in Carmel. The test papers were really challenging. I was confused when I was having the test. Although the results were still acceptable, I was not satisfied with it as I did not try my best during revision. I believe I could have done much better if I worked harder. To achieve my goals which is getting 80 marks or above in average, I was suggested to do revision every day after school in the evening study class by my parents, I have to put extra effort. Anyway, let’s work hard together to fight for excellence.

As you know, I had my school picnic day in early November. The arrangement of the class picnic day was determined by class association. They prepared well and we had a wondrous picnic successfully as expected. Guess what? We went to Butterfly Bay. It was a place that I had never been to, however it is a wonderful place for picnic. We played dodgeball excitingly. We were seperated into two groups. One group was formed by sports teams members and the other was formed by other students. Surprisingly, the non-athletic group won. We also had barbecue. I bought plenty of steak and pork for barbecue. We were all cheerful by the appetizing taste of the barbecue food with sweet honey on it. Though the picnic day was really a piece of precious experience, I miss the time we had in Cheung Chau last year very much.

Our school’s major concern this year is “Gear up, go the extra mile”. It encourages us to equip ourselves and be prepared to face difficulties and strive for success. This major concern is my aim too. I am now having enhancement class related to drama every cycle. It is a useful and encouraging major concern to make students concentrate on their goals. I plan to learn how to play the guitar or violin so that I can gear up myself and develop my own hobbies at the same time. Besides, don’t you think playing music instruments is cool?

For the coming Christmas, I think I have to stay home and revise for first term examination. I will have examination right after the Christmas holiday. Therefore, I must study hard to prepare for the examination. In Chinese New Year, my family plans to go to Singapore. Maybe I can visit you at that time.

What about you? When will you come back to Hong Kong? Perhaps we can go to Butterfly Bay together.

Take care and reply soon.

Best wishes,

Sunny
