I celebrate my birthday with my parents nearly every year, except for this year’s birthday. This year I have got a special and touching birthday.
As it was the first year that I came to Carmel, no one knew my birthday. On my birthday, I went to school as usual. No one asked me ‘What present do you like? or said “Happy birthday” to me. I was disappointed since I hope that I can celebrate my birthday with my friends.
As usual, I had lunch myself and went back to the classroom after lunch. No one was there but I saw something on my desk. Suddenly, the light was turned on and my classmates jumped out from the desk. I was surprised and didn’t know what happened but I heard everyone say “Happy Birthday! Grace.”
The things on my desk were a bottle of cola and a birthday cake. I was very touched and I had to hold my tears. I couldn’t believe it. I knew that they had spent a lot of money and had planned for a long time. I didn’t know what I should say. All I could say was ‘Thank you’.
The birthday party was simple, but it was the best birthday party I have ever had! I would never forget this moment in my life. It was sweet, touching and precious to me!
