Misunderstanding

I searched my bag again and again impatiently. However, I could not find my newly bought wallet.
“My… My purse has disappeared!” I stammered to the salesman of the record shop with apology.
“Ah! That man is a pickpocket!” cried my friend, Carol.
About two hours ago, we entered the shopping centre with excitement because I decided to buy some CDs and stationery for my little brother. The baking sun was hanging high in the sky. The temperature outside must be over 35℃. Carol and I were happy spending the Saturday afternoon in the air-conditioned shopping mall. The CD shop was located on the fifth floor, so we took a lift. As I was walking out of the lift, a young man who was wearing a pair of Levi’s jeans and a casual shirt bumped into me. My bag dropped onto the floor. The polite youngster helped me to pick up my bag and bent down to apologize to me.
After that, we found the CD shop. We were overwhelmingly excited when we entered it. On the shelves were all our favourite CDs and VCDs. I chose a newly released CD of my idol, Celine Dior, and some classical music CDs for my brother who loved to play musical instruments. Feeling content and satisfied, I walked towards the cashier…
I found myself falling from the heaven to the hell when I suddenly discovered that I could not find my wallet. Carol and I left the shop with embarrassment. We went to look for the culprit at once. We went from one shop to another to find the man but it was a vain attempt.
I sighed and stopped in front of a long bench. Suddenly, I heard a man shouting loudly.
“I’m sorry, madam!” the young man seemed excited seeing us.
Carol pointed at the man in disbelief. That was the man who had knocked down my bag! He ran at the top of his speed towards us grabbing a purple wallet in his hand. Oh, that was my lost wallet!
“Thank you for your kindness.” I smiled and sniffed. I had misunderstood him. He was not a thief but an honest young man who had tried very hard to look for the owner of a lost wallet.
After buying what I wanted, I left the shopping centre feeling very happy having bought my favourite CD and met a sincere and helpful young man on that day.
