Message from the Principal<\/p>\n
\u2018Gear Up\u2019 and \u2018Go the Extra Mile\u2019 are the major concerns of our 2015-18 School Development Plan.\u00a0 We believe that it is through experience, engagement and empowerment that one can gear up and go the extra mile.\u00a0 Indeed, Experience, Engagement and Empowerment are the three levels in our Stars in Carmel<\/em> Award Scheme \u2013 a whole-school student recognition scheme on student achievements and efforts to strive for improvement or excellence.\u00a0\u00a0 By means of Experience, we hope students can reach out and grab a learning opportunity, whether academically or non-academically.\u00a0 Students head towards Engagement when they actively and regularly participate, and Empowerment when they assume planning and organization responsibilities and take up leadership roles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There have been a great number of opportunities for students to experience, engage and be empowered throughout this school year, as is reported on in this issue.\u00a0 What is particularly worth mentioning is leadership training, which is structured to groom not only senior students, but students of all levels, so that even junior students are empowered to become leaders.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Experience, Engagement and Empowerment are often complemented by Exposure.\u00a0 This is why we have seized every opportunity to involve students in school events.\u00a0 When Brunei\u2019s Ministry of Education and the Under Secretary for Education visited the school, for example, students took our visitors on a campus tour, shared with them their achievements and had serious discussion with them on current topics of value.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Needless to say, Experience, Engagement, Empowerment and Exposure are equally crucial for teachers, as can be seen in this issue.\u00a0 They are at the core of student growth and teacher professional development at Carmel, and will continue to be.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u300c\u7a4d\u6975\u88dd\u5099\u3001\u7cbe\u76ca\u6c42\u7cbe\u300d\u662f2015-18\u5e74\u5ea6\u5b78\u6821\u767c\u5c55\u8a08\u5283\u7684\u91cd\u9ede\u95dc\u6ce8\u9805\u76ee\u3002\u6211\u5011\u6df1\u4fe1\uff0c\u7a4d\u6975\u88dd\u5099\u3001\u7cbe\u76ca\u6c42\u7cbe\u7684\u63a8\u52d5\u529b\u662f\u7d93\u6b77(Experience)\u3001\u6295\u5165\u53c3\u8207(Engagement)\u3001\u5145\u6b0a(Empowerment)\u3002\u6b63\u56e0\u5982\u6b64\uff0c\u7d93\u6b77\u3001\u6295\u5165\u53c3\u8207\u548c\u5145\u6b0a\u662fStars in Carmel \u734e\u52f5\u8a08\u5283\u7684\u4e09\u500b\u968e\u68af\u3002\u6b64\u5168\u6821\u6027\u7684\u734e\u52f5\u8a08\u5283\uff0c\u5609\u8a31\u6709\u9032\u6b65\u6216\u6709\u512a\u826f\u8868\u73fe\u7684\u540c\u5b78\u3002\u540c\u5b78\u96e2\u958b\u5b89\u8212\u5340\uff0c\u6293\u7dca\u5b78\u8853\u6216\u975e\u5b78\u8853\u7684\u5b78\u7fd2\u6a5f\u6703\uff0c\u5c31\u6703\u6709\u6240\u7d93\u6b77\uff1b\u4e3b\u52d5\u3001\u6046\u5e38\u53c3\u8207\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u5c31\u6703\u8d8a\u767c\u6295\u5165\uff1b\u653e\u81bd\u64d4\u8d77\u7b56\u5283\u3001\u7d71\u7c4c\u7684\u8cac\u4efb\u548c\u9818\u8896\u89d2\u8272\uff0c\u80fd\u529b\u5c31\u8d8a\u767c\u63d0\u5347\u3002<\/p>\n \u540c\u5b78\u65bc\u672c\u5b78\u5e74\u6709\u5927\u5927\u5c0f\u5c0f\u7684\u6a5f\u6703\u53bb\u7d93\u6b77\u3001\u6295\u5165\u53c3\u8207\u548c\u5145\u6b0a\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u4e00\u90e8\u4efd\u6210\u679c\u5df2\u8f2f\u9304\u65bc\u672c\u518a\u5b50\u4e0a\u3002\u5b78\u6821\u65bc\u9019\u5e7e\u5e74\u5c24\u5176\u91cd\u8996\u9818\u8896\u8a13\u7df4\uff0c\u52d9\u6c42\u4efb\u4f55\u5e74\u7d1a\u7684\u540c\u5b78\uff0c\u90fd\u80fd\u6210\u70ba\u9818\u8896\uff1b\u6709\u95dc\u5831\u5c0e\uff0c\u4e5f\u503c\u5f97\u4e00\u770b\u3002<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
