In a unique collaboration, teachers from the Counseling and Guidance Team joined librarians for the “Four Great Classical Novels x 4Rs” Reading Cafe. Participants enthusiastically delved into these literary masterpieces, exploring both original texts and manga adaptations. The discussions centered on how the timeless wisdom within these novels can foster resilience. Dedicated to fostering a strong reading culture on campus, the Library proudly hosted “Reading Cafe @ Carmel.” This event featured inspiring sharing sessions by our Principal, the NET teacher, and teachers from the Chinese History and Chinese departments, who enthusiastically presented their favorite books. We proudly celebrated our students’ dedication and ingenuity in STEAM through an exhibition that showcased their remarkable projects. This event was held at the CreateInfo Zone (6\/F) of the Hong Kong Central Library from July 9 to August 31, 2025.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”5″ images=”16125,16126,16127,16128″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_tab][vc_tab title=”2025 Mid-Autumn Celebration” tab_id=”1760064446892-12-8″][vc_column_text css=””]During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the library hosted a special riddle-solving activity!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On April 23, three proactive student librarians from our school participated in the Hong Kong Reading For All Day 2025 – “Read Thousands of Books and Travel Thousands of Miles” 30-minute Read, organized by the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau.<\/div>\n
Our students proudly read aloud the \u201cReading Manifesto” on-site and enjoyed the experience of reading alongside other primary and secondary school teachers and students.<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”5″ images=”15556,15555,15554,15553″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_tab][vc_tab title=”4\u00b723 World Book Day Creative Competition 2025″ tab_id=”1746776601854-7-5″][vc_column_text css=””]Congratulations to S5 Toby Yee for standing out among over 1,800 entries and winning the Outstanding Award in the Senior Secondary (English Category) of the “4\u00b723 World Book Day Creative Competition 2025” organized by the LCSD and Hong Kong Public Libraries!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Winning entries will be showcased at roving exhibitions in designated libraries across Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong starting late April. <\/span><\/p>\n

Teachers and students explored unique libraries, Taipei New Horizon, specialty bookstores, and comic museums. They also experienced the vibrant Taipei Lantern Festival and savored delicious local Taiwanese cuisine.
\nThis incredible journey provided students with a valuable opportunity to broaden their horizons, deepen their appreciation for Taiwan’s reading and creative culture, and immerse themselves in its unique traditions.
