After\nreading the part that Li Shin\u2019s lie was exposed and Grandma knew it, somehow the\nstory reminded me something similar to him and it is my lie to protect something\nI hold dear. I was trying to stop my classmates fr<\/ins>om\ndoing things that are wrong by sacrificing myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  When I was i<\/ins>n\nPrimary 3, my classmates started to pick on a girl in our class. They said\npeople should never defend her or else the person who did will also become\ntheir target. I was trying to stop them by asking them to do other things, but\nthey didn\u2019t listen. They drew on her table, made jokes on her and they threw\npaper towards her. That time I did provide some pieces to the bully just\nbecause I think it would be fun. Then the people sprinkled some shredded paper\non her and made paper planes to attack her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  One day\nour class teacher knew this and that morning was our \u201ctrial\u201d. She shouted at us,\n\u201cWHO DID THAT?\u201d Everyone was silent in their seats including me. I wish I could\ntell the truth but I didn\u2019t want anyone to be punished. I knew I also did wrong\nbut my classmates also, was I supposed to report them when I report myself? My\nmind was i<\/ins>na\nmess and then I made up this decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\nstarted that and asked the others to join.\u201d I stood up and announced to the\nclass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Yes, I\nwas wrong but it was not all my fault. If I told the truth, the bully\u2019s hatred would\nbe more than before, I hoped I could stop being wrong and also them. I was\npunished to clean the blackboard for months, but I didn\u2019t really mind that, as\nlong as the hatred was over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  After\nthe \u201ctrial\u201d, the bully and the girl asked me why I did that. I answered them I\nwant peace in class and no one should be scolded. It\u2019s okay if it can fulfill\nmy purpose. After that, there was no more bully in our class and some of the\nclassmates even helped me to clean the blackboard. Most of all, the bully and\nthe girl became friends. We become the peaceful and most harmonious class in\nPrimary 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  You may\nask me I would do it if something like that happened, I will not. I shall not\nalways face people\u2019s problem. But that time I didn\u2019t care about that because I\ncould make our class good. My classmates are the things I hold dear and I want\nthem to give up on their wrongdoings, I lied without regret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes\na lie can make things better, just depends on how people lie on different\nsituations. If the lie can help people, it\u2019s worth burying the truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
