40 years\nhas gone and Happy Times is still serving the neighborhood in Mong Kok. Most of the people living nearby know this\nstore and perhaps most of them have tried the buns and cakes made in this\nstore. More importantly, Happy Times\nsells the traditional taste. Those\nChinese buns and desserts are the customers\u2019 collective memories. If Happy Times closes down, the memories will\nfade away. Happy Times should stay to\ncontinue spreading love in the neighborhood and keep the collective\nmemories. However, Happy Times is in\ndanger of being replaced by a chain store. \nMr Chan\u2019s store, which he has devoted more than half of his life to, may\nnot survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although\nHappy Times may be replaced, there are many citizens form the neighborhood\nsupporting the store. A campaign called\n\u2018Show love for Happy Times\u2019 has started. It aims at attracting public attention\nand collecting supportive words for Happy Times. It also helps ask for a chance for Happy\nTimes to stay. \u2018The chain store may get\na new store anywhere, but the old store may not restart and build up reputation\nagain easily,\u2019 said the initiator of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
