Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would\nlike to propose a bookstore caf\u00e9 in the Big. In a hectic city like Hong Kong,\npeople are often under immense stress and they lack the time to relax\nthemselves.  Also because of the\ntremendous workload that they are having, they tend to trivialize the\nimportance of spiritual nourishment. \nBooks & Coffee provides a wholesome access for busy people to attain\nphysical and spiritual repose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Details for the bookstore caf\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.1 The environment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to\ncreate a nostalgic vibe in the bookstore caf\u00e9. \nCoffee and books lovers are mostly yuppies who care much about their\nquality of life.  This atmosphere is\ntruly an enjoyment to them.  To create\nthis ambience, we are going to use brown book shelves and tables.  The caf\u00e9 is going to be adorned with delicate\nflowers and ornaments.  Pictures and\ndrawings will also be displayed to enhance the artistic feeling of the caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.2 The delicacy <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main\nfocus of the caf\u00e9 is, of course, coffee. \nCoffee beans form different countries will be acquired so as to provide\na diversified range of coffee for our customers.  For instance, Brazilian coffee tastes more\nbalanced.  Indonesian coffee tastes more\nnutty and Ethiopian coffee tastes more fruity. \nThis is to attract customers with different preferences of coffee.  Siphon coffee makers will be used to ensure\nthat our coffee is of the best quality. \nApart from coffee desserts like brownies, cupcakes, muffins, cherry\npies, pudding, etc. will also be served. \nFor customers who do not have a sweet tooth and prefer healthier food,\nsalad, burritos, quesadilla, yogurt and the like will be available as\nwell.  We are going to make sure that our\nfood is excellent, if not perfect, to retain customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.3 The books<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The books\nthat are going to be sold are secondhand books. \nWe encourage our customers to sell the books that they\u2019ve finished\nreading to us.  We can then utilize the\nsupposedly cast-off materials and retail them again at higher prices.  We collect a variety of books including\nliterature, history, poetry, design, fashion, economics, science, technology\nand the like.  This is to again attract\ncustomers who have their own expertise and interests in different fields.  We are going to organize the books by\ncategorizing them by themes and the alphabet. It creates a neat and tidy\nenvironment which allows our customers to find out what they want easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Target customers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.1 The white-collar workers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These\nworkers probably have the most overwhelming schedule almost every day.  They got a nine-to-five job and have to toil\naway at work on a daily basis.  A\nbookstore caf\u00e9 will be perfect for the to take a break from their many duties\nand responsibilities. Spiritual fulfillment through reading can also be obtained.  Our caf\u00e9 is going to be a boon to these\nworkers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.2 The workaholic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our caf\u00e9\ntargets on the assiduous ones as well. \nPeople can stay focused and get their work done in our caf\u00e9.  We also serve coffee which can help them to\nstay awake and be productive.  In\ngeneral, it is a nice place for diligent people to be efficient without being\npressurized.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Marketing strategies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would\nlike to use the three letters \u2018SSS\u2019 to summarize our marketing strategies.  The first \u2018S\u2019 stands for \u2018secondhand\u2019.  The books that we are going to sell are all\nsecondhand ones.  We can then reuse and\nutilize the books to achieve profit maximization.  It also greatly lowers the cost because the\nbooks will be collected at a very low price and we are going to retail them at\na higher price.  I am certain that it is\ngoing to be a profitable and even lucrative business.  The second \u2018S\u2019 stands for social media.  We are living in the era of social\nmedia.  It has gradually become an\ninevitable part of our everyday life.  We\nwill have promotion and advertisements on mainstream social media, such as\nFacebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and so on.  This is to increase the popularity of our\ncaf\u00e9 and let more people know about us. \nIt can even unleash numerous potential customers for our caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third\n\u2018S\u2019 stands for stunning.  By stunning, we\nmean the appearance of our coffee and delicacies.  Professionals baristas will be hired.  Not only does our coffee and food satisfy\npeople\u2019s taste buds, they are also photogenic and exquisite.  Taking pictures and sharing them on social\nmedia has become a major part of people\u2019s lives now.  Seeing this trend and phenomena, we believe\nthat making our delicacies look stunning can indubitably entice more customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last\n\u2018S\u2019 stands for superb.  No matter how\nattractive the environment is and the food looks, we understand that the food\nitself has to be superb to retain customers. \nTherefore, we will carry out multiple tests before we introduce a new\ndish.  Also the requirements for both\nbaristas and chefs are extremely strict. \nWe employ skillful chefs to provide delicious dishes for our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 Mutual benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of\nBook & Coffee itself is already beneficial to both of us, the entrepreneur\nand the customers.  It creates a win-win\nsituation in which we can unbridle our love and passion for books and coffee,\nmeanwhile, our customers will be able to enjoy our impressive services.  On top of that, we are going to introduce a\ndiscount and a reward system to express our heartfelt gratitude for our loyal\ncustomers.  They get one stamp every time\nthey spend more than $30 in our caf\u00e9. \nWhen they have got 10 stamps, they can enjoy a free beverage.  This also incentivizes people to visit our\ncoffee shop again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To\nconclude, we cannot think of a better idea than opening Book & Coffee in\nThe Big. The kaleidoscopic services that we provide are spectacular.  We are positive that the unlimited potential\nthat Book & Coffee has is beyond imagination.  More importantly, there will be an influx of\nmiddle to upper class people to The Big, which guarantees that both the\nshopping centre and Book & Coffee are going to thrive because this group of\npeople are the ones that cannot resist a delicious cup of coffee.  I would appeal for your approval to start my\nbusiness in The Big.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
