I had always been dreaming of meeting pop stars face to face.  I really wanted to have a nice day with my idol, know what that celebrity does daily, and how the famous person feels.  Fortunately, I won the song composing competition in the March issue and could have a chance to meet Eason Chan!  I dug out my best clothes, the most eye-catching necklace and the most glamorous shoes the night before, and hoped that he could be extremely impressed by me.
 I went to the office of Eason’s music company to see him.  He ran out from his room, shook my skinny hand with his big, warm hand, and said, ‘How great to see you!  You’re Chris, right?’  I was so nervous and thrilled that I could not utter any word.  I could only smile and nod my head like a silly boy.  I was very excited to know what we would do.
 ‘I’m so sorry, Chris,’ he apologized.  ‘You know, my concert is around the corner.  I should be well prepared for it, and I must stay in my studio today.  I can’t bring you anywhere.’
 I entered the studio with Eason, a little bit disappointed.  But soon after, I found much fun in it.  I would be able to listen to his live performance for free!  He was attentively practising singing different songs, from the oldest ones to the latest.  I was enjoying his songs, while he was working very hard to do his best.
 ‘Hey, Chris, do you want to have a try?’ He shouted.
 ‘Try?  Try what?’  I was wondering.
 ‘Trying to sing like a professional singer, of course,’ he was smiling kindly.
 I was very delighted – he let me practise with him!  He taught me the singing skills with endless patience as I am not a singer.  In fact, I sing poorly.  I was touched that he did not give up on me.  We sang and danced so happily that we even forgot the time for lunch.
 I should leave Eason’s studio by the evening, but he asked, ‘Are you available tonight?’
 ‘Yes, I am.’
 ‘Come with me.  I’ll bring you somewhere.’
 I got into his car.  Driven at a high speed, the car stopped in front of a grand building.
 It was Hong Kong Stadium.
 ‘Don’t you know that I’m going to hold a concert tonight?’  He gave me the ticket of a very good seat and plunged into his own last-minute preparation for the concert.
 I was listening to his songs, listening to his sharing.  I was deeply impressed by his hard work and efforts in the pop song industry.  Despite the fact that he was constantly attacked by paparazzi, he did not forgo his dream.  I appreciate his devotion to his career.
 By the end of the concert, I heard Eason saying, ‘Now, would my VIP, my special guest, a Form 5 schoolboy, Chris Wong, come up to the stage.  He has been practising with me for the whole day, and I want to take this opportunity to thank him, and introduce him to all of you!’  How unexpected it was!  I went on the stage – his stage, and the centre of attention, which should be owned by him.  I was impressed by him, when he treated me as his friend.
 The day ended with such a big surprise.  Eason is not just a hard-working person, but also a lovable, friendly superstar.  I could not help admiring him, and am looking forward to his upcoming excellent performances.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I had always been dreaming of meeting pop stars face to face.
