{"id":6113,"date":"2018-07-17T00:43:22","date_gmt":"2018-07-17T00:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carmelss.edu.hk\/buddingwriters\/?p=6113"},"modified":"2018-07-17T00:43:22","modified_gmt":"2018-07-17T00:43:22","slug":"overcome-the-rain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.carmelss.edu.hk\/buddingwriters\/archives\/6113","title":{"rendered":"Overcome the Rain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Overcome the Rain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first time I saw her was in a public hospital, busy taking care of others.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t have a deep impression of her until the second time.<\/p>\n<p>I once had cancer and that\u2019s why I would stay in hospital for months.\u00a0 When I accidentally got this news, I cried so much.\u00a0 It was the darkest time and I even thought of giving up my life at that moment.\u00a0 She was the one that brought light to my life.\u00a0 She gave me a warm feeling when we first met.\u00a0 She kindly comforted me for getting in this terrible nightmare.\u00a0 Her encouragement made me feel better.\u00a0 People\u2019s support always could pass energy to the patient.\u00a0 In the following few weeks, she stayed with me when she was free.\u00a0 She told jokes and read stories.\u00a0 The patients in the room burst into laughter.\u00a0 The atmosphere was turning better.\u00a0 I questioned her why she was concerned about me that much.\u00a0 She told me that her daughter committed suicide because of cancer at my age.<\/p>\n<p>Her selfless love fueled my strength to stay alive.\u00a0 She had tried to bring me out from depression at the stage she was even more stressed than I was. How could I be such a cruel person to this caring lady for ignoring all her efforts put into comforting me?<\/p>\n<p>From that day on, I lived with passion.\u00a0 At least I had to stay alive.\u00a0 I took care of myself and followed the doctor\u2019s instruction to recover.
