A Helping Hand<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susan was waiting under the baking sun at the bus stop. What an ordinary day, she thought.<\/p>\n

But something not ordinary happened al of a sudden.<\/p>\n

She heard a squeaking sound coming from the brakes, then, a loud \u201cthud\u201d. \u00a0When she looked back, she was terrified by the scene she saw.\u00a0 A double-decker bus was stopped and lying on the ground while the moaning and screaming of people filled her ears.<\/p>\n

He couldn\u2019t decide whether she should lend a helping hand. \u00a0Out of the blue, a young man rushed out and tried to peep inside the unsuccessful. Although it was clear that it was impossible with only one person.\u00a0 He changed his position and continued.\u00a0 Unexpectedly, a group of students came and helped more and more people came, one by one. Susan was impressed by the helping spirit of the crowd.\u00a0 I should help, she decided but what could I do?<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone is hurt!\u00a0 Anyone knows how to treat her?\u201d\u00a0 A man shouted. \u00a0Susan took out a qualifying card of first aid treatment.\u00a0 I know what to do!\u00a0 I can help!\u201d she shouted.<\/p>\n

Susan checked the wounds of the victim and found out that she was unconscious.\u00a0 She laid the victim down and performed CPR to rescue her.\u00a0 \u201cOne, two, three…\u201d Susan\u2019s hands were trembling, and she could hear nothing but her counting and heartbeats.\u00a0 After a few rounds of resuscitation, Susan was exhausted.\u00a0 Drops of sweat fell, but she did not dare to wipe them away.<\/p>\n

\u201cWee woo, wee woo…\u201d an ambulance arrived.\u00a0 But Susan continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s okay now, miss. We can take over the CPR process.\u00a0 Thank you for your help.\u201d A first aider thanked her.\u00a0 Or could you do us a favour?\u201d\u00a0 Can you tell the police officers what happed?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSure!\u201d\u00a0 Susan smiled, feeling fulfilled to offer a helping hand.<\/p>\n
