I never imagined that my name, Christina Wong could enter the list under the category “Singer”.\u00a0 My journey on the bumpy path to my dream set off from an important event, the “Hong Kong Got Talents”.<\/p>\n
Why I joined the talent contest<\/strong><\/p>\n To be honest, I was confused when I got the application form of the talent contest. I felt hesitant about performing in front of a large audience because I wasn\u2019t very confident of my talent.\u00a0 I was afraid that I couldn\u2019t perform well in the contest.\u00a0 This time, my best friend gave me his support.\u00a0 \u201cTreasure every chance you have, or else you will regret it.\u201d \u00a0I was much encouraged by his words.\u00a0 I understood that a person\u2019s life is short, and I should do everything I wanted before I lost that ability to do so.\u00a0 As a result, I decided to join the talent contest to challenge myself to explore my potential.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How I felt during the talent contest<\/strong><\/p>\n After some days of pain and tears, the day to walk on the stage came.\u00a0 I was surprised by the brilliant performance of other competitors, so I was a bit nervous.\u00a0 However, I knew that my efforts paid would not betray me. \u00a0This gave me strength to step on the stage.\u00a0 Being strengthened, I walked with my head straight and my nose in the air.\u00a0 When the music started, I indulged myself in imagining myself being the character of the song and enjoyed the process of singing.\u00a0 To my surprise \u2013 and dismay — after my performance, the audience fell into silence.\u00a0 Feeling disappointed, I left the stage and my mood hit rock bottom.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the prize-giving ceremony, I was down because I didn\u2019t expect I would get any prize.\u00a0 To my astonishment, the judges announced I was the Champion.\u00a0 I was shocked. \u00a0The head judge gave his comments, \u201cThe winner\u2019s voice is fantastic!\u00a0 We were all adsorbed in her performance and \u2026 em .. I\u2019m short of words.\u00a0 I can\u2019t think of any words which can exactly describe how brilliant it is.\u00a0 It\u2019s simply beyond description.\u201d\u00a0 Hearing his compliments, I was overwhelmingly happy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How my life has changed once I won the contest<\/strong><\/p>\n After winning the contest, I got many chances to perform on the stage and share my music with others.\u00a0 My monotonous life has suddenly become busy.\u00a0 Sometimes my schedule is so tight that I feel like having no time to take a breath!\u00a0 But I am still glad that I have grabbed the golden opportunity to join the contest. \u00a0I have gone the extra mile and made my dream come true.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n My plans for the future<\/strong><\/p>\n I plan to further stretch myself by participating in some international competitions.\u00a0 I would put more effort into brushing up my singing skills.\u00a0 The audience can feel my warm heart and my passion for music.\u00a0 I would like to push myself beyond my comfort zone.
