{"id":5588,"date":"2017-03-28T06:11:41","date_gmt":"2017-03-28T06:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carmelss.edu.hk\/buddingwriters\/?p=5588"},"modified":"2017-03-28T06:11:41","modified_gmt":"2017-03-28T06:11:41","slug":"the-hong-kong-college-ambassador-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.carmelss.edu.hk\/buddingwriters\/archives\/5588","title":{"rendered":"The Hong Kong College Ambassador Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Hong Kong College Ambassador Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why the school needs ambassadors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At this time every year, many schools will organize their information days for parents and students to acquire a deeper understanding of the school\u2019s studying environment, quality of facilities and student performance. \u00a0Our school, Hong Kong College, is not only well-known for our fabulous public examination results, but also the excellent studying environment.\u00a0 It is important that parents and students in the community could also know about the good culture of our school.\u00a0 We would like to recruit school ambassadors to take up this mission.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>School ambassadors are the student representatives acting as role models to show the favourable policies and environment our school provides to facilitate students\u2019 learning. \u00a0By sharing our own experience with students and parents from outside, they could get a more comprehensive picture of the school. \u00a0This is the reason why the school needs ambassadors because they are the ones who have experienced school life and the quality studying environment of the school is manifest in their good model.\u00a0 This can build up the guests\u2019 confidence in and thus help the community acquire a full understanding image of our school.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What qualities we look for in an ambassador<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for students who have good communication skills to allow them to chat with the guests with good manner and politeness on the Information Day. \u00a0Having satisfactory results in exams is another quality we consider in school ambassadors, who can take up their mission to show the good quality of the studying environment to our guests. \u00a0We are expecting school ambassadors to address the guests\u2019 doubts by using their first-hand experience.\u00a0 Their friendly attitude and good social skill would be of great help to their job.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How you benefit from joining the program\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not only can students earn an extra OLE record on their report card, the school ambassadors could also enhance their communication and activity organizing skills as the school will offer relevant training and guidance during the preparation time for the Information Day. \u00a0Moreover, students joining the program could meet other students from different forms and classes. \u00a0Through this program, they could get to know more about each other and thus enlarge their social circle. \u00a0What\u2019s more, by exposing themselves to a new area and becoming the leaders and representatives of the school, they gain valuable experiences which will definitely be beneficial to their future, both their career and studying life. \u00a0What are you waiting for?
