I think you do and you probably have taken ‘selfies’ before. Taking ‘selfies’ is now popular all over the world. However is taking ‘selfies’ good or bad? I think it is bad and I do not support it. But why? Let me explain it for you.

Firstly, taking ‘selfies’ wastes time. Possibly you may think that taking ‘selfies’ is just a sudden shoot and it does not take a lot of time. If it is only one photo, most people may think that is fine as it just takes a few seconds. However a number of people do not only spend a few seconds to take ‘one selfie’. Those people always have to find a perfect angle to take their selfies. You think it ends? Sure not! Then they will take a look at the ‘selfie’ and they will take some more until they got a ‘selfie’ perfect in their mind. Here is a real example for you. I once hanged out with my friends and one of them told us that she wanted to take ‘a selfie’. All of us waited for her. She found her ‘perfect angle’ and took a number of ‘selfies’. I almost fell asleep when she was taking ‘a selfie’ and I found that she used up five minutes to take ‘a selfie’. Taking ‘selfies’ wastes time.

Second, taking ‘selfies’ makes us ‘blind’ and upset. The ‘blind’ here does not refer to disability but it means wrong focus. Some ‘selfie lovers’ take ‘selfies’ as an extremely important part in their life. They do not use their eyes to discover the amazing world but their mobile phones instead. In fact, the ‘selfie lovers’ always focus their sights and minds on ‘selfies’. They can only know the world through their mobile phone with limited information. They are also hoodwinked by the social media. They always post the ‘selfies’ on some social networking websites, such as Instagram, Flickr, Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook. And they are easily affected by some negative comments and they will be depressed.

Overall, I think taking ‘selfies’ is not really good and I do not support ‘selfie’. I sincerely hope that ‘selfie’ will not go viral on social media anymore.

1A(20) So Yin TunDo you support selfiesHave you even heard of ‘selfie’?
