Greetings everyone, I\u2019m Chris Wong, the President of the Students\u2019 Union. It is my great honour to speak to the graduates of 2014 today.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Time flies so fast. We went from F.1 to F.6 in <\/span>the blink of an eye<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>I was listening to the radio while I was preparing for this speech, and a song\u2019s lyrics struck me. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The song goes, \u2018Time can tear down a building or destroy a woman\u2019s face. Hours are like diamonds, don\u2019t let them waste. Time waits for no one, no favour has he. Time waits for no one, and he won\u2019t wait for me.\u2019 \u00a0Therefore today, our focus is time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After graduation, we all have different plans for our future. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Some would like to continue their study, some would like to set up their own business, and some might even want to find a date.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>No matter what kind of plans you have in mind, your greatest friend or enemy is \u2018time\u2019. You can spend your whole life achieving your dreams and goals. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>It\u2019s just a matter of how you use your time. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Some of you might think that you still have a lot of time, and only make slow progress. When you realize you\u2019re running out of time, that\u2019s already too late.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s why you should treasure your own time, and make good use of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You may ask how <\/span>you<\/span> can make good use of <\/span>your<\/span> time. \u00a0Well I\u2019m barely a high school graduate, my advice is not professional, but here are a few tips that I hope could help you all.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Procrastination is always the hardest thing to beat. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Thus, do not procrastinate. Don\u2019t give yourselves any chance to do so. When you procrastinate, time goes faster, and you\u2019re not doing anything positive at all. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Just like what the lyrics said<\/span>,<\/span> \u2018Time waits for no one, no favours has he<\/span>.\u2019<\/span> Time slips through your fingers like sand<\/span>;<\/span> it won\u2019t wait for you. You have to grasp it tight in your fist.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Time can tear down a building or destroy a woman\u2019s face.\u2019\u00a0 We should manage our time and do things that we wish to before it\u2019s too late. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Take all the possible chances and don\u2019t waste them. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>If you want to start your own business, do it now<\/span>;<\/span> if you want to invent the next smartphone that\u2019s cooler than an iPhone, start now. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Your dreams and goals can\u2019t wait, and time won\u2019t wait either. Don\u2019t waste any second of your life, don\u2019t wait till you\u2019re old and your skin is all wrinkled. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Then regret.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last but not least, don\u2019t be intimidated by time. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>There is no such thing as \u2018no time\u2019 if you use your time wisely. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>525,600 minutes a year, you have plenty lot of time. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Don\u2019t let time <\/span>stop you from dreaming<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0A lot of people with big dreams and goals never achieve what they wish because they think that they won\u2019t have enough time to invest in it. They just leave it in a cold dark corner and never ever retrieve it. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Time is never a restriction if you make good use of <\/span>it<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are all still young and green to his world and we do have a lot of time. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Even though we still have years and years to reach our dreams and goals, if we waste our time and days, there aren\u2019t many left. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>We should live every day like it\u2019s our last day, don\u2019t let any second go and be wasted.<\/span><\/p>\n
