I feel like I have gone through the most dreadful time in my life today and I hope I will never come to it again!\u00a0 I must jot it down in case I forget what I\u2019ve experienced today.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m directing a play called \u2018The Emperor\u2019s New Clothes\u2019.\u00a0 Childish!\u00a0 Right?\u00a0 I chose this title simply because we had a fat boy in our team (but I told them I randomly picked this).\u00a0 Sh!\u00a0 Let it be a secret forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So yesterday I held the first rehearsal for the play.\u00a0 I remembered that I sent the script to my <\/span>\u2018<\/span>dear<\/span>\u2019<\/span> actors and actresses early this month and asked <\/span>them <\/span>to recite the lines by heart.\u00a0 But still, they couldn\u2019t utter a complete sentence.\u00a0 OMG!\u00a0 I had no choice but to give them some time to memorize <\/span>them<\/span>.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t a good start.\u00a0 Sigh!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I sat there and had waited for nearly two hours before we finally could start practicing.\u00a0 In one of the scenes, two liars had to knit an invisible garment.\u00a0 I thought it was quite easy, but the two guys kept on stepping on the machines.\u00a0 It seemed like they were playing the piano.\u00a0 Worse still, those ministers just took a glimpse of the liars and then walked away.\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t stop myself shouting and asked if they really knew what they should do and how to act.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to watch the whole play to see if there were some parts that were performed well.\u00a0 Sadly, no!\u00a0 When the king was having a royal procession, I found that the king was shivering and lost his nerve.\u00a0 I told him to be arrogant, but he replied me, \u2018I\u2019m not arrogant at all.\u2019\u00a0 What silly answer!\u00a0 I know you are not arrogant, but you are an actor!\u00a0 You should treat yourself as the king!\u00a0 Roar!\u00a0 I was outrageous and dismissed the team in the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I feel really sad and disappointed.\u00a0 The rehearsal seems to have marked a dismal failure.\u00a0 My friends told me that it was very good already, but I didn\u2019t think that <\/span>it<\/span> was a success.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Still I had to admit that I was too concerned about the performance and didn\u2019t care much about my teammates\u2019 feelings.\u00a0 I just want<\/span>ed<\/span> to make the play perfect and miss<\/span>ed<\/span> out some important things such as giving time to the actors and actresses to experiment with different expressions, teaching them what they should do, searching the information to help them have a deeper understanding of the story.\u00a0 I shouldn\u2019t just keep on blaming them or shirking the responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n
