Long time no see! I hope everything<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s going well with you. How’re you doing in the States? Remember to take a good care of yourself!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a <\/span>diligent <\/span>student always, you must be working hard in your studies. As for me, I’m just going to have the final exam very soon. As I go through the English exam syllabus, I <\/span>suddenly <\/span>realize that you could not enjoy an amusing learning process with us. Well, let me share it with <\/span>yo<\/span>u. <\/span>What\u2019s it? <\/span>I enjoy the Short Stories module very much. It’s a pity that you missed this out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, o<\/span>ur class has done lots of things in the lessons. We’re not only learning the writing techniques <\/span>and basic concepts <\/span>through the textbook, but with the help of numerous well-written short stories, we learn many writing <\/span>skill<\/span>s, such as characterization, setting, twist, irony and symbol during appreciating<\/span> the<\/span> masterpieces.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe, you’ll think that the above things are quite technical and must be<\/span> very boring, as I thought before. But there\u2019re some moments that I enjoyed during the process of learning. The most enjoyable part must be the reading activities in lesson. The distribution of <\/span>only <\/span>half of the pages of <\/span>a <\/span>story about murderer case was an example.<\/span> You know, a<\/span>fter reading, the whole class needed to guess the ending, who <\/span>wa<\/span>s the murderer and so on. We got different comments and we even argued with each other. When Mrs. Chan distributed the remaining pages to us and we finished reading, we discovered the murderer was the one that we had never thought of, except Hoby <\/span>(still r<\/span>emember her?<\/span>)<\/span>W<\/span>onder<\/span> about<\/span> what the story is<\/span> like?<\/span>L<\/span>et me share it with you <\/span>more <\/span>next time! <\/span>It<\/span> is truly amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, a<\/span>lthough the Short Stories module is very interesting, <\/span>I must say <\/span>there\u2019re some parts that I\u2019m not so satisfied with. The first point must be the time <\/span>for learning<\/span> this module was quite short. I enjoy this module very much and I <\/span>do wish<\/span> it either start<\/span>ed<\/span> earlier or last<\/span>ed<\/span> for a longer time. I hope to go deeper into the contents and the techniques, but <\/span>it seems<\/span> so superficial<\/span> with the tight schedule<\/span>. The second point that makes me feel impatient is sometimes Mrs. Chan doesn\u2019t give us the whole story, and we need to guess the ending, which really made me jumpy. <\/span>By the way<\/span>, <\/span>I guess these<\/span> aren\u2019t really the things that I dislike, but maybe<\/span>, actually<\/span> the funny part of this module.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be honest, I\u2019ve really learnt plenty of things from this module<\/span>, such as the basic knowledge of short stories, lots of good expressions and morals<\/span>. If you want to know more, for sure I\u2019ll <\/span>share with you<\/span> when we meet up next time.<\/span><\/p>\n
