\u00a0Home sweet home! Today was a tiring and horrible day.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0I still remember this morning I was both nervous and excited, since it was the first day for me to go to school as a teacher. When I got to school, however, the excitement was overcome by nervousness, butterflies were fluttering in my stomach. My legs were trembling when I walked into the classroom of my first lesson.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The class was surprisingly quiet.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cGood morning class!\u201d I said cheerfully. \u201cI\u2019m Ms. Lee, your English teacher.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGood morning, Ms. Lee,\u201d they all chorused politely, except for one student, who was sleeping on his desk, snoring loudly. <\/span><\/p>\n

I motioned for the class to sit down and walked over to him. I patted him on the shoulder. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cHuh\u2026\u201d he said blinking, confused. Then he saw me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I arched an eyebrow at him in question.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, Miss,\u201d he mumbled.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m Ms. Lee,\u201d I said. \u201cGo and wash your face.\u201d Then I started my lesson.<\/span><\/p>\n

However after ten minutes, I heard a girl scream, \u201cHey!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I turned around and saw a boy tugging at a girl\u2019s ponytail. I cleared my throat pointedly. He looked away from the girl and saw me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo it again and you\u2019ll earn yourself a trip to the disciplinary teacher\u2019s office.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

What a class, I thought.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then after another ten minutes, I heard the sound of\u2026 slurping? I looked up from my book and saw a student in front of me eating a hamburger and drinking coke!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cExcuse me,\u201d I said. \u201cYou do know that eating is not allowed in class, right?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t answer, but just wrapped up her hamburger and put it in her backpack sulkily.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that it won\u2019t happen again and please finish your breakfast BEFORE class,\u201d I told her, with a meaningful glance.<\/span><\/p>\n

After another ten minutes, I heard some girls chatting away with their friends and giggling loudly. For goodness sake, what is wrong with the discipline in this class! I stopping talking and just looked at the girls. The other students knew I was angry and stopped talking immediately. The stony silence was only broken by the girls\u2019 giggling, which was quickly shushed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, would anyone else like to interrupt me again?\u201d I said with false cheerfulness. \u201cThis would be an ideal opportunity.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Then the bell rang. Great timing! One lesson and I love the bell already! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, end of lesson!\u201d I said with the fake smile still plastered on my face. \u201cDid you guys like it? It must have been great fun for you to interrupt me every ten minutes.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

With that last word, I swept out of the room.<\/span><\/p>\n

My first lesson was a disaster! Now, I have to think up some ways to get them to behave without me asserting my authority every time and it\u2019s giving me a splitting headache! Maybe I could get the troublemakers to write me a 500-word essay of \u201cWhat did I do wrong and how can I change this naughty behavior\u201d. Or should I make it 600 words? Whatever I do, it should have them feeling bad by the time they finish it or they\u2019ll never change. And it\u2019ll give me great satisfaction of seeing them sweat over the assignment I put them to. <\/span><\/p>\n

It seems like I\u2019m turning evil. But it takes evil to combat evil, doesn\u2019t it? Evil Teacher V.S. Evil Students. Who will win, I wonder? I hope it\u2019s me, so wish me luck!\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
