Many people whom you get in touch with are always pessimistic and feeling sad, so <\/span>you s<\/span>hould <\/span>remain<\/span> optimistic and have a high EQ to handle those negative emotions. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You<\/span> always need to be calm as you have to analys<\/span>e<\/span> the cases with a clear mind. Also, clients\u2019 emotions are already unstable during the treatment. <\/span>If you are too emotional, <\/span>the situation<\/span> may worsen<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You should be a confident hypnotherapist and avoid <\/span>doubting<\/span> your ability. Or else your performance will be poor and you can never succeed in curing them.<\/span><\/p>\n

You should have an excellent memory to remember the steps that you have<\/span>done during the hypnotherapy.<\/span><\/p>\n

You should have good communication <\/span>and language <\/span>skills as you need to talk to them using <\/span>a variety of expressions<\/span> such as metaphors, rhetorical <\/span>devices and analogy<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A keen interest in hypnosis and a sincere heart <\/span>for<\/span> helping people <\/span>are<\/span> crucial.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having a bachelor degree in psychology is an advantage, as you will know more information and the background of psychology which helps<\/span> with<\/span> your study of <\/span>h<\/span>ypnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, studying hypnotherapy doesn\u2019t need a very high educational background. However, <\/span>e<\/span>xperience is a must for being a hypnotherapist. Overseas study is essential to gain sufficient experience. You can register in Hong Kong Guild of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists to get a license.<\/span><\/p>\n

Work prospects:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Once you get the certificate, you can start your job. Most of the time you need to face tragedies happened <\/span>to<\/span> the patients and what you need to do is change their pessimistic mind and let them feel more comfortable. You also need to listen to them wholeheartedly and comfort them. It is a kind of respect.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ying said optimism and EQ are absolutely important. For being a hypnotherapist, she said that she used to feel sad uncontrollably after hearing what the patient said. \u201cHis experience was touching,\u201d Ying said, \u201cbut I\u2019ve to control myself. I need to be calm so that I can continue with the treatment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A day at work<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Every day, Ying enters the clinic, waiting for the first patient. She needs to listen to the patients\u2019 plight and feelings, have a deep conversation so as to determine what the source of the problem is and then decide whether <\/span>they need<\/span> any treatment. Some may need to receive a further treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other than that, Ying also needs to write a report about the case of the patient. It helps self-reflection to see if she has done any wrong thing. <\/span><\/p>\n
