Today was really fabulous!\u00a0 During school, I swapped my role with my English teacher Ms Ng and taught my own class English for a double period.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At first, I freaked out a bit because every classmate was staring at me, waiting for my next move.\u00a0 I calmed myself down and started distributing handouts about reported speech.\u00a0 When I wanted to use the visualizer, I could not figure out how to control it.\u00a0 But the two IT perfects just kept sitting, chatting with their neighbours and paying no attention.\u00a0 Slightly annoyed, I asked them politely if they could lend me a hand, just like how Ms Ng said to them nearly every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After they had set up the visualizer, I began teaching and tried to interact with my classmates more often to keep their attention.\u00a0 Most of them answered perfectly, but some of them answered with a few errors.\u00a0 I gave them my encouraging smile and they could always get the right answer.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, one of the most talkative classmates suddenly asked me a very difficult and debatable question.\u00a0 \u201cOh no!\u201d I thought at that time, \u201chow am I supposed to tell him? \u00a0I don\u2019t know?\u201d\u00a0 At that instant, an idea popped up in my mind.\u00a0 \u201cClass,\u201d I said to my classmates, \u201cwhy don\u2019t we discuss this question together?\u201d\u00a0 After an \u2018intense\u2019 discussion and much argument, we all came up with a solution.\u00a0 Three heads are better than one!\u00a0 The rest of the lesson went smoothly. \u00a0After dismissing the class, Ms Ng even gave me a \u201cthumbs up\u201d sign!\u00a0 I felt really proud of myself.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I never realized that being a teacher is so hard and challenging.\u00a0 You have to use lots of teaching techniques, and be able to handle all kinds of strange unexpected incidents. \u00a0As a student, I always think that teachers are bossy and annoying because they keep mentioning discipline, discipline and discipline. \u00a0Now I know how demanding the teaching job can be.\u00a0 Teachers must be very devoted to and passionate about their jobs.\u00a0 Or else they won\u2019t even bother to care about us.\u00a0 They will just lie back on their chairs, watching us messing around, not paying attention and finally getting poor results.\u00a0 I am regretting our class\u2019 misbehaviour now.\u00a0 Therefore, always think from the point of view of your teachers first, and you can save them a lot of trouble.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
